Disliking Phil Spencer is physically impossible. I'm pretty sure of that.
But yeah, why would he even be at such an event? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

That's good. Maybe they can make a white X1 MCC bundle.

It's the videogame awards and some Xbox games are nominated, yes I think the Xbox boss should be there.

I would be more excited to hear that devs are participating than Phil.

-He's on the advisory council, which means that he helped plan the event and voted on which games got nominations. You'd think he'd want to see the event that he helped plan. -Several Xbox One exclusives got nominated for awards, it would be nice to have the head of Xbox there to accept the awards if any of those games win. -It doesn't bode well for any Xbox One exclusives being announced. It's possible that an exclusive could be announced, but less likely, Phil would surely want to be there if they were announcing something pretty major like Gears Collection or a big 3rd party exclusive. |
Wouldn't it be more appropriate for Rod to be there to announce Gears?
I think it would be more appropriate to have studio directors talk/reveal games than Phil himself.
you dislike Phil because he isn't going to some award show? wat? if they aren't ready to announce anything so be it, if they did then you all would be whining about them announcing stuff too early.

I'd rather they not announce Gears Collection at the VGA's, the matchmaking issues with Halo:MCC are still fresh in people's minds, could put a damper on the annoucement of another collection. I want to see some stuff from some of those smaller and newer first party studios, some of them like LXP, Platform Next, Lift London, and Twisted Pixel have been working on their games for awhile now, you'd think one of them would have something that's ready to be announced. A big 3rd party exclusive announcement would be the best case scenario imo. |
awful idea, smaller studios without pedigree or background will get ignored at events like these. best place for these smaller studios would be at an independent microsoft event (like their e3 stage), gdc or gamescome.
Huge...
