This literally means NOTHING! Just because other people said One will fail doesn't mean you have to think so either. Stick to what you know and maybe next time you won't be so surprised by something that doesn't mean anything. Just because this seems like good news for Xbox doesn't make it so, but at the same time it's not bad news. Of course Xbox One is going to have more preorders than 360. Pretty much all retailers focus heavily with preorders and incentives. Go back to 2005 when Xbox just launched and check out the incentives...hardly anything, especially when look at the preorder incentives today. 2005 is not 2013, not even close, and anyone who thinks this is ignorant to the fact that many more people preorder today due to different reasons.

I mean seriously, the 360 was the successor to the original Xbox, which sold 24 million. The Xbox One is the successor to the 360 which sold 70 million and counting and your surprised the One has more preorders than 360 did? Wow...

I'm taking a bet today that XB1 will have longer legs than XB360 on non gaming features alone.... the XB1 will be the first high end console ever to appeal to the mass market as a entertainement device for all.... as soon as it breaks the 300 bucks price point it will sell like crack in dive bar....

You think it'll do 300 million or sell more than all PS platforms combined?  Because I'd love to see that signature make a resurgance with a new generation.  Shit, end up right and maybe everyone here will worship you for a while like a prophet like the days of John Lucas.  That'd be interesting if nothing else.

No one said "but" in the context he implied, so he must have be referring to the people saying "Not surprising". That's the only logical conclusion based on the FACTS. This means that Kowen changes his behavior on the fly.Kowen is a disingenuous character.

The fact that Kowen is still here upsets me. At first I only wanted you out of this thread, but now I have to raise the stakes. I'm not leaving this thread until he (1) admits what I've made painfully obvious, (2) offers a sincere apology, and (3) leaves VGChartz for the rest of the day as punishment. Im not going to go telling people who Kowen is or isnt.  My point was he did not say what you was accusing him of and there really is no need for this type of discussion here.  All you are managing to do is to derail the thread.  The mods are not going to make you leave because they rarely do anything about pointless discussion such as this but instead of invading this thread maybe go message him privately instead of bringing your accusations in here about his behavior.

why turn every freaking thing into a console war fapin contest ???? I'm just saying that it will sell better than the 360..... heck the 360 already appealed to a shit load of people for non gaming reasons... I know people that have up to 6 or more XB360 just because it has the  windows media player extender and it is a great match up with PC/TV tuners combo to have TV and media library available in every room without renting a cable box or an HTPC for each room....
at the current price tag those are a great bargain when some HD cable box can be over 10 bucks a month to rent.....
so yeah I'm sure a wider crowd on the long run will be interested in the XB device because it is NOT exclusively focused on gaming and the usual apps....

so yeah again the XB1 will have very long legs.... it will probably pick up speed again right after the ~300 bucks price point....

but hey it's a chart website... isn't it what we are here for in the first place... ??? I know I came here in 2007 exactly for that :)
