Remember that in UK 3DS is heavly overtracked here... it tracked below June 2012.

I think the same will be showed for US... so the Pachter prediction can be close to the thuth... or it is only another Pachter prediction lol

the 3ds increased by 4x in the second week due to animal crossing, and not only that it got a 3ds Animal Crossing xl, which special edition 3ds's have been known to sell really well in america. Hes numbers are going to be down no matter what
