You got me worried about PS4 possibly having no optical out, seems like it does though. 

This is great since I bought the pulse elite when Bioshock game out lol and that would suck.

Well thats one worry down,  now it just needs to accept USB headsets

How does it work with The Last of Us? I'm most interested in the surround capabilities. Can you exactly tell what directions are for example clickers coming from?

@ OP why wouldn't it ? it works on PC it would be dumb for sony to make a new one just for PS3, besides the headset is called "Playstation headset" not "PS3 headset" it even works on Vita (Pulse) wired.

So they have a wireless hub like the Astros or the Turtle Beach ones do?  I've never even seen the headset you guys are talking about so I dont know,  the only PS3 headset I ever had was the PS branded bluetooth headset

For me I can hear things in the next level of the game lol. Yeah you can hear the general location of the enemy with the headset and you can hear sounds that you wouldn't catch when playing with surround sound or tv sound. I personally love the headset and the app for Bioshock and TLOU makes the sound more pretty lol.

I can use my awesome Pulse headset on PS4! Also it's nice to not have to plug it in the headphone jack because then you can't select the mode or adjust sound unless the DS4 is different cause that's what it seems like on my computer when I plug it in.
