Why is it that 3rd parties support Sony and MSFT but not Nintendo? Sony and MSFT do what it takes to get 3rd party support- Nintendo has not-

What you just said was completely absurd, a multi Billion Dollar Company does not become a successful business without listening to consumers. To put it simply fans say what they want and business listen and provide the service in exchange for fans money, pretty simple.

Making games for the 3DS?  Idk, they are slow at developing games.  They seem to have trouble supporting two platforms; they saved the 3DS at the cost of 1st party games on the Wii U.

I STILL don't have a Wii and never played the game, but since you're talking about Other M, I might as well say that the game seems pretty good from the videos I've seen. From what I understand, people hate the game because of the story and the way it portrays Samus, am I right? But the gameplay seems pretty great...

But then again, I haven't played it or even the Prime trilogy.... And I'm slowly dying because of it.

As far as I know there are only about a dozen...

I accept that its your favorite, but you are one in a million lol.  And no this line of questioning is going nowhere, I was just shocked at what I read.

 

I'm not one to like or dislike a game based on reviewer scores but I'd like to point out...

Metroid Prime - 97% on metacritic (and happens to be my favorite game of last gen)

Metroid: Other M - 79% on metacritic (most metroid fans consider this game a dissapointment)

And we can't forget about super metroid one of the best snes games.

 

So I guess what I'm saying is that having Metroid: Other M as your favorite Metroid game is comparable to having Super Mario Sunshine or LoZ: 4 swords as your favorite in those respective franchises (both are great games btw).  Theres absolutely nothing wrong with that, its just very uncommon.

I'm sure some that bought the game were dissapointed or didn't consider it to be their favorite of the series.
