Just a small note, a female and a male can't be "identical" twins. They are just twins.

For years, I've heard identical twins, that are male and female, called that. Fraternal is the only other thing twins can be, but from what I've just read, that's what boy/girl twins are called. So, in a sense, you were right and wrong, BUT, thanks for the tip, anyway!

Fraternal twins don't have to be male/female. Me and my brother are both male, and we are fraternal twins.

Cool! When do we get to see a demo?

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Shooting for Q1 2014 on a trailer and a level of game-play.

Awesome!  Do let us know, I like to support a fellow VGChartzers.

Why is your name hidden?  I thought that was for people in trouble.

Old hair is more likeable, I think. In any case, I've never been too convinced about how digital hair looks. I would need to see the characters in motion and judge then. Hair in concept art or screenshots tends to look just fine, but then in-game it looks like the character has been glued onto his head some random hair. Maybe I'm a bit nitpicking here, though. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

Just for the sake of explaining myself:

Anya's hair in a screenshot.

Anya's hair in-game.

Biggest problems with the older styles, as I'm sure you've heard me say, is performance. Plus, some of them made the characters look like super heroes, rather than Joe Average. Because we haven't shown it outside of forums, we can mess with it and get the look just right before we unveil proper game-play. That's the great thing about concepts, you can tweak, change, edit, and fix before you start to show what's actually going into the main project.

Yeah, I can understand that. However, the New style isn't that fitting either. But I won't judge hairs properly until I see then in motion, as I explained before

If it's giving you problems, why don't you give the character a short hair and call it a day?

Good day. I've decided to break the silence, sort of, on an upcoming game my team and I are working on. Codenamed "HANDICAP", you play as five characters, all suffering from something. Can't delve too much into detail, but I'll give you a rundown of the characters above.

  • This concept displays the game in early development. Our protagonists, 15-year-old Maple Arizona, a 12-year-old with Meniere's Disease named (TB) - short for "Tomboy", since the child's gender isn't ever established, 21-year-old Autumn Pastel, and Maple's twin brother, Leaf Arizona. As mentioned earlier, each of the five main characters have a major hindrance to their daily lives, and it is up to the player to not only figure out how and why, but to aid the crew against overwhelming odds. All of the characters will meet at some point or another.
  • Please remember that this is a work in progress and all concept(s) may not necessarily represent the final quality of the game. We're currently targeting a late 2015 release of "HANDICAP" on PC and one of the next generation consoles (can't reveal who, due to contracts). The game will be played from 1st and 3rd person perspectives and will allow you to choose characters for some playthroughs. The system will make the selection during other scenes, but all are unique.

"HANDICAP" is a Psychological Drama set in modern times. A few, key ,places to remember - The Orphanage, Shed in the Park, Alleyway, and Cliffside.

Thank you for checking this out! I'm here for any questions and/or feedback. I don't mind criticism, either, because if something needs fine tuning, this community is just the place to inquire.

What company exactly do you work for?

Or is this just a small group of your friends working on an Indie game?

I don't mind either way, but unless you physically already have access to PS4 devkits, please don't use the "I'm a dev" argument to try and boost your posts merit in PS4 vs Xbox One threads.

I, myself, am a dev as well (for mobile and web applications). Since every One can be used as a dev box I'll probably check that out as well, but I'm not going around making comments like "I'm a dev, so I know better than you."

If by chance you work for a well known company with devkitss of next gen consoles already then I resind my post for looking like an asshole

I don't believe in making what you want.

I hope your game succeeds.

You are right but also very very wrong :)

Game creation is a risk, some people make a game and sell very few, some companies make a game - spend millions and sell very few. Some might have made an original game, others might have tried to copy an existing game concept because it was previously successful. Utilmately when you are making/designing a game you are making the game that you want and that you feel your audience wants. Do you think the designers on COD are sitting their saying to themselves "I hate this concept as a gamer, but I'm going to make it anyway"... Maybe they do, but if you are a gamer and a designer (important to be both) then you will always be making games that you like or at least features within the game that you like.

Of course in games creation there are risks and rewards, and obviously a guy in his bedroom making indie games while living with his parents can take a bit more risks than someone who has to pay for a mortgage or has to pay the salary of 15 people, but game creation is ALL about making games that you want, otherwise whats the point :)

Making games is hard, and making a sucessful game is hard... its a very critical industry, but without the passion, its worth nothing.

Anyway, CGI - good luck to you.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

How did I miss this? Sounds interesting CGI, I wish you and your team the best of luck.

So you're saying you have used PC hardware that is similar to the X1 and PS4. Got it. And I just like checking people because we all know that you can say whatever you want on the internet.

It annoyed me when benvtrigger was hyping up the gamestop/xbox one drama over nothing and trying to use his status as a small time manager to imply he had more knowledge.

The only reason I came to this thread to ask you is because you were making statements with no supporting information or evidence.

Basically I could claim to be a dev and know a lot as well since I deal with mobile and PC hardware and software development every day in my career. But I don't, because I haven't used console dev tools yet and that would be misleading.
