This was unexpected, but this is bad for the xbox 360, in january ps3 outsold it by 200,000 , if this trend continues the ps3 may outsell the 360 by as much as 300,000 in february.

The Install base of the ps3 is growing at a rapid rate, dont be suprised if by the end of the year the ps3 is within 1M of 360's install base.

It is obvious that the PS3 is taking off in the Others region and Japan just need the games on the system that are big sellers there, Imagine what the numbers will be like for the weeks when MSG4 and FFXIII are released... Should be interesting anyway :D

 DMC is not out till next week in the US, so it is unlikely to be that. Haven't there been reports that the elite is scarse, maybe it's that?

worldwide YES....it will lead to probably a 60K lead for Ps3...

that is very good, considering 60K was the Ps3's total sales weekly around 4 months ago...(Jun, Jul, Aug)

Xbox 360 sales will see a boost when the next pricecut (in about 2 weeks) will arrive. An Xbox 360 Arcade for like 199 dollar/euro!
