PlayStation Store’s PLAY 2013 Deals Revealed

Pre-order and save.

Back in 2011, Sony began something on PlayStation Network called PLAY, a promotion where a game a week would be spotlighted on the PlayStation Store. Better yet, the more of these special games you pre-ordered, the more you’d end up saving in the long run.

Sony’s back with a PLAY promotion for 2013, and it all begins next week, on July 23rd. This is only confirmed for North America; it’s unclear what other territories will be doing, if anything, to replicate the PLAY promotion.

Here are the games:

  • Stealth Inc. A Clone in the Dark (PSN/Vita, $9.99)
  • Cloudberry Kingdom (PSN, $9.99)
  • Ibb & Obb (PSN, $9.99)
  • DuckTales: Remastered (PSN, $14.99)

Each PLAY game is 20% off for PlayStation Plus members (making the $9.99 games $7.99 and DuckTales: Remastered $11.99). If you pre-order two of the games, you get a $3 PSN cash voucher. Pre-order three games and get $6. Pre-order all four games and get $10.

Which games -- if any -- do you intend on pre-ordering?

I will certainly be getting all four.

-Stealth Inc. is a cross buy on PS3 and Vita plus it was made by the same people who released the awesome Thomas Was Alone.

-Cloudberry kingdom is a mystery to me but adding it basically only costs 4 bucks considering the extra rebate I get for owning all 4. The trailer is pretty sweet see it below.

-Ibb and Obb looks pretty awesome and I am a big fan of supporting indy developers

-Ducktales is of course the money shot.

-For Plus members you get 4 games for 36 bucks plus an additional Vita copy of Stealth Inc. and $10 in PSN cash which is essentially a 5th game.

Meh, nothing of interest for me.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

If DuckTales have trophy support then I will get this one.

26$ for all four with PS+

Thanks for the videos

Wasn't Ducktales that one game where people said that the 2D art with 3D backgrounds was jarring and game had bad controls?

I think I lost my interest because of that.

The TMNT on the XBL Summer of Arcade is exclusive for only like 30 days IIRC.
