Probably including FB and Flash so doesn't mean shit, PC gaming is alive and well though,

"the gaming form i prefer is the only gaming form there is"

i.e. my mom plays stupid flash games (majong, solitare, puzzle bobble), that IS still gaming.. even if you consider it to be that or not.
just because you and I wouldn't call it 'real' gaming dosn't mean it isn't

I didn't mean that exactly. When people refer to PC gaming being dead they're generally referring to non-flash/facebook titles, so to say PC gaming isn't dead because a lot of people play games on FB is a silly statement in that context.

I think Steam and Kickstater proved that PC gaming is not dead, a long ago. - Anyone who claims otherwise just has their heads in the sand.

"PC gaming is alive and well"

I agree

Social and Browser games do make up a large chunk of PC gaming, but there is still a large market on PC outside of that.

Agree, but the chart in OP is misleading; it shows PC gaming to be about as big as console gaming when what we generally define as PC gaming is actually more in line with smartphone/tablet gaming in popularity. The chart you posted is much better.

edit: Actually I just realised this is based on revenue, and piracy is mad on PC, so any figure isn't going to represent how popular it really is.

I hate gaming on PC, I never liked it for my gaming experiences but I'm glad that many people do enjoy it .

thats not how things work around here. if you dislike something bash it to death.

Oh then I should adapt! Yeah... DEATH TO PC GAMING! I hate you keyboard for being so uncomfortable! And being so EXPENSIVE TOO...

Did i do it right? XD

Perfect! Especially the part where you spread false information like Keyboards being expensive! I am sure alot of people are proud of you!   T.T  (see I am already crying tears of joy)

The problem with a thread/statement like this, is that talking about "PC Gaming" NOW, as opposed to even 10-15 years ago, is a hugely different thing. Once upon a time, console gaming and pc gaming were totally different things. Every once in awhile you'd see a port of a game from one to the other. But it there was a distinct difference between console games and pc games. They were two different worlds of gaming, and two you could enjoy seperately. And as such, "PC Gamers" back then were a totally different breed as well.

Nowadays I find more and more so-called "PC Gamers" who don't necessarily like what used to be considered po games, so much as they just like/prefer playing ports of console games on their PC, via Steam or what have you. It's become a melting pot, and to me, that's not "PC Gaming". That's just ports of console games, played on pc (often with console-like controllers, or in some cases using straight up PS3 or Xbox 360 controllers).

So if "PC Gamers" have grown as a crowd, it's not that actual pc games have become more popular, but that many former console gamers have migrated with the same games they would be playing on home systems, for their computers. That's my take on it anyway.
