The only reason the media picked up on the story is because they falsely assumed Zimmerman was white and saw a way to start up the "race wars," again.  And what did they do when it turned out he was Hispanic?  They created a brand new term and started calling him a White Hispanic, just so they could still attach the word "white" to him.  I guess from now on, I should refer to the current President as a White Black man.  And we still have to wait to have the first black President.

I'd give it a day or two.  Hopefully, they won't happen, though.

Youve replied with that reply to everyone that doesnt share your opinion in this thread which may be true or untrue... Fact of the matter is that both points I made about Canadian gun law and Zimmerman being a civilian are true. So only inacurracy you can be referring to in my post can be my fear of US laws and society. 

If his parents brought him up to be a decent person, this would have never happened. He would be here now but he was doing what his television and music( probable girls too) was telling him was cool.
To me this is just an example of someone getting screwed over because of peer pressure and hip hop culture.
If zimmerman is a decent person he will suffer the rest of his life because of what he did even if he had no choice.
Tbh i think a lot of the blame is hip hop culture. It glamorizes the drug dealer lifestyle for many young adults

I dont get the logic behind fearing a law that says when ppl are attacked, they can defend themselves. The onle reason to fear a law like that is if you intend to hurt ppl and are afraid they'll fight back. that just seems like flawed logic unless you are a criminal, then it makes sense you'd fear it

Defending yourself and a civilian being able to carry a loaded weapon and deciding when he is in danger and is allowed to use it to take a life are very different things. Tasers, pepper spray, proper defense training...all work when it comes to self defense.

Yup it really is.   I have nothing against americans, Its just scary south of the border.  The laws,  The atmosphere.. it just feels different.  Plus if you trip and get hurt, and cant get back home. Your paying for it the rest of your life.

OK then you wouldnt mind me pointing a gun at you while you hold your little can of pepper spray? Or you grab your stick while I shoot you. When there are more powerful weapons in the world, you do not limit yourself to an inferior one. I wanna see you karate chop a shot from a 12 gauge. lol

Let's not try to pretend that its all rainbows and kittens out there in the real world.
