Forums - PC - So no one makes Windows 7 laptops anymore?

So I'm still on the lookout for a laptop to take to college with me and I can't use windows 8. (I don't like it, but more importantly, Dolphin Emu isn't compatible)

Are there any good laptops out there still using 7 or do I just have to get a Windows 8 one?

Looking at these because they currently got a deal going on. I guess if I can't get a Windows 7 one, I'll just get one of these.

I got a lenovo. Very strong and good laptops.
Not too good for playing games though, but it runs LoL so I'm happy. And I don't think it will have a problem with runescape 3 either.

I was checking for some laptops a few days ago and I couldn't find any good ones with Windows 7, it's a shame because Windows 8 sucks so hard. Although I was using Best buy, not really the best place to look for tech stuff.

I guess your only option is to buy the laptop with Windows 8 and install Windows 7.

Windows 8.1 is coming soon addressing many of Windows 8 issues. Get it.

Is this laptop good enough to run most games well?

I might just do that installing Windows 7 thing. Does it cost extra to do?

You can find Win 7 if you know where to look. I bought my laptop six weeks ago, it's the latest Asus Nv56 model, 12GB RAM, i5, 2GB dedi NVIDA graphics card, 1080p screen, BD drive, and Windows 7, from www.simplyasus.com.

Based on the graphics card alone you can run most stuff at least at medium, some at high. Just by doing a quick google search: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-750M.90245.0.html

It doesn't cost extra if you pirate Windows 7

With classic shell+some management through the default programs menu, you can make WIn8 behave exactly like Win7, with a slightly better kernel, down to booting straight to desktop. No need to buy win7, or pirate it... dolphin compatibility will come, I'm sure.

I know it's possible but I heard that it's a pain in the ass to do. Haven't try it myself though so I'm not sure.
