zombiU petition... maybe some petitions are pointless.

Depends on what you're aiming for. I don't dislike petitions though.

Yes, it really just depends on what they are for.   Usually to add something - cool.  Or make sure games have a colour blind setting for people that need it.

But the silly one to try to stop Final Fantasy from coming out on the Xbox 360 was just laughably childish.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Tell me a funny joke!

The most obnoxious thing about petitions is how they really put the priorities of the gaming community into perspective.

For example (pardon my Nintendo-ness):

Operation Rainfall, the campaign to localize a few high-profile games for North American audiences, which included the highly critically acclaimed Monolith Soft title Xenoblade Chronicles, managed to get just over 7,000 signatures.

The recent petition asking Nintendo to revoke their region locks entirely is edging towards 22,000 signatures.

The petition asking Nintendo to remake Majora's Mask for 3DS for no goddamn reason since it can already be played on a current Nintendo console for like 10 bucks has over 50,000 fucking signatures. I hate everything.
