How?  You have two differents market trending two different ways.  Then you have one company in both markets also trending two different ways.  This has noothing to do wwith double standards.  It's about one company trending differently in two markets.  Taking it a bit too personal, no?

No but he called it irrelevant which is pretty much like calling it a faliure. Maybe having nothing relevant to say on this topic is causing you to skim over other posts and not actually comprehend what is being said?


It's ok to be pro-Microsoft, and we all already know it rubs you the wrong way then anything goes against it.  It's ok.  :::pats you on the back:::  I still don't see a double standard anywhere.

They may be cheap but i would rather have a proper laptop even though they cost way more. What is the battery like on a chromebook? Macbook air may cost 4x as much but has amazing battery life for a laptop now, up to 12 hours now.

For whatever reason, the tech media is just high on Google.  Everything is on the rise and will continue that way (repeated use of the word "could" for instance).  I recall Google TV even getting that same treatment until it failed and they just stopped talking about it instead of bringing its failure up every 3 days.

So no, it doesn't make sense for a segment of the market to be so doomed from one perspective (the MS one where the PC market is dying and being replaced by tablets running iOS and Android) and on the rise from another (Chromebook sales rising signficantly and threatening that same doomed market).

wow! Well that is a fine bit of reasoning right there, sir.  Mabey you will even be able to convince yourself that the chromebooks aren't growing saleswise at all, and any gains are just a figment of the illogical mind.

3% of the market sales :) LOL, will not happen. I really admire Google trying to make a success out of this failure but come on. I predict the same future to Chromebooks than Netbook: None.
The value of the Chromebook compared to other Android or Windows RT devices is badly low.
