Forums - General - Which country should I move to?

New Zeeland sounds great, beaches, mountains all close by. Too bad it's far from home though...oh wait, we were talking about you. Well, it's far away from home for you too.
Consider that when you move you will be alone and lonely, so a place where there are already some people you know, that speak your language and have your mindset/culture, preferably friends is a big plus.

The two people I know who moved to Australia have liked it, apart from saying it is not anywhere near as friendly as popular perception would suggest. They also have terrifying spiders and snakes which can kill you.

Those who went to New Zealand said they liked it a lot more. BTW Aussies please don't hate me for this, just passing on what I've been told.

If you love toking the herb the Netherlands is a wonderful place (although I think it's legal in an Aussie state called Nimbin) and I can confirm from personal experience that the Dutch people are some of the friendliest I have ever met.

Don't come to England, it's crowded here and there are few jobs, not to mention the weather!

Too much planning, and you'll never get anything done.

The weather is fine!

-Liechtenstein
-Switzerland
-Luxembourg
-Norway
-Sweden

Or if you want a hotter country:
-Australia
-New-zealand
-Singapore?

You should really read this Cracked.com article:

Easily Canada, cause its so peaceful up there, and the stereotypes are correct, everyone is nice up there. I believe they were one of the first for gay marriage too. They seem to be pretty liberal up there as well as they have alot of social programs. And they have a very low crime rate.

And the weather isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be, its slightly colder than the normal in America is, probably even more so than Mexico.

Hell I want to move there from Chicago, and we have the greatest food in the world in Chicago.

Lol, the text is very funny, and there really is an awful lot of truth in that article.

What's wrong with the Netherlands?

Nothings wrong with it. I loved it when I went on Vacation there, but I just think those other countries enjoy a slightly better standard of living.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

Switzerland

This. Truth be told, I don't really know a lot about Switzerland but whenever I heard something about the country, it's usually good or even better. The only bad thing I've heard from there is the minaret ban.
