Forums - Sony - Sony's DualShock 4 light bar can't be turned off to save battery

@Vetteman92
Ok sorry about 3 feet away from my 50" TV. You have to account for slack and angle distance between controller and console. Still way too close.

I love how you completely disregard my solution to your so called "problem". It's hilarious.

Also you're saying 3 feet away when the person you are replying to said that cables are AT LEAST 4+ foot long...

I thought it would only be on if you used the pseye! Wthell... I hope they fix it before I buy the ps4

I just can't play in the dark with that led glowing :(. Fix this crap Sony!!!!

Too much input lag

That is the best answer I have read all day. You know the controller is still communicating with bluetooth right? So there wouldn't be any more lag. I look forward to your next answer. :D I truly do.

LOL Complaining about battery use of LED???

It's a simple USB to USB mini cable, I have at least 10 in my house. Even if you don't have a longer one in the house, just buy one for a dollar or two.

You'll pick at anything.

But remember then you introduce input lag.

lol? That's incredibly stupid. Hope it's not that bright.

the things people find just to complain ... xbox fans worried about sony controler batteries , realy?

Well for starters I game on my PS3 as much as I game on my Xbox. Secondly I didn't say a word about batteries. Unless I am mistaken, maybe you can bold it in my post you quoted or something. I mentioned brightness. I usually game in the dark. I don't want a bright ass light I can't turn off.

Okay most of the posts in this thread are jokes right? I mean no one is REALLY complaining about this? I mean seriously? The indicator on the current PS3 controllers is always on(granted it is a lot smaller). Also the light on the 360 controller is always on and it is pointed directly at your face. And even with this like it is pointed away from you and down. This is such a non issue to have anyone complain about it is just silly.

Oh and just a question what is up with everyone playing in the dark most of the time? That is kind of creepy lol. :-p

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

But I can buy rechargeable battery packs for 1/3 the price of a new controller.

2 Controllers for Local multiplayer, plus PS4 i'm sure will be able to use external HDD.
