Forums - Gaming - Forget Fan Boy wars, post pics of your favorite consoles and why you love video games

Getting the SNES and the N64 at launch were two of my biggest and most cherished gaming moments ever....

Those aren't my pics, but I still have those original boxes that they came in.  I don't think anything will ever top the very first time I popped in Super Mario World and Super Mario 64.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

It's hard to choose N64 over SNES, but I like to play games with friends much more then I do alone, and N64 is the King of multiplayer. Multiplayer is best when your friends are beside you. Before it was with pizza and pop, now it's with pizza and beer, nothing is better then playing a good game of Mario Kart/Party/Golf with friends.

SNES is my favorite for single player games, I love how the SNES and N64 generation was so simple. No memory cards, or hard drives, no profiles, or trophy's, no online, just straight gaming. Plus a lot of Nintendo's IP's really glowed on the N64. My favorite Mario Kart, Zelda, and Super Mario are all N64 games.

Wii had potential, Wii Sports is truely fun, but with disappointing Mario Party games, an overly complex Mario Kart, and really no good party games, it just didn't have that sparkle. Single player games are good, but I love Nintendo consoles either for JRPG's or Party games, and Wii only had a few good JRPG's.

The snes was my alltime favourite. Many a happy hour spent on that amazing machine. So many great games. The only bad thing about it was that I had to sell my NES to get it which took me 2 years to save up my pocket money for.Never sold a console since and may try to track down a NES to buy again.

Wait so you sold the NES for the SNES.. Ahhhh that's a bummer bro I'm sure it was worth keeping, but the SNES was a great console too possibly better then NES right? I mean we know technically, but I'm talking experience and games.. One game I loved on SNES was Zombies ate my neighbors we need more games like that lol

The SNES was like my first true love. Some of my best gaming memories were on it. Still play it from time to time

Zelda on 64 bro was truly amazing. I like Majora's mask more just bcuz it was a complete new story line and was so bizarre. How cool is it to save the world in 3 days or the moon will crash into it? lol

Yup I completely agree bro, I think Nintendo's best games were on 64. Can't forget about Star Fox too, that game had me going insane at blockbuster lol.. Mario Kart was really fun, but I really enjoyed Zelda on 64.. That game was ahead of it's time for what we had back then.. Just a pure crafted masterpiece on 64

Do you play it on current consoles from the Nintedno Store or actually pop a catridge in and play the SNES?

GameCube and PS2: Lot's of great games to play along with friends and lot's of unique games like Sly Cooper to Mario Sunshine (EXCLUSIVES!!!) . Gamecube (in my opinion) have the best controller design and wish Nintendo will re-design the Wii U Pro Controller to that design sceme again.

DSi and 3DS: Fun games that use the screen in great ways.

I'm meh about those games. I loved Starfox 64 and Ocarina of Time at the time N64 was around, but I don't play them anymore. For me N64 is about Mario Part/Kart/Golf, I still play those games with friends regularly.

Also I like Majora's Mask better then OoT. For single player games, I think SNES was best.

What single player games on SNES do you consider. I have the Dreamcast emulator for SNES I could check them out

These are more recent consoles which is no issue at all, but are you a young gamer by any chance?
