The snes was my alltime favourite. Many a happy hour spent on that amazing machine. So many great games. The only bad thing about it was that I had to sell my NES to get it which took me 2 years to save up my pocket money for.Never sold a console since and may try to track down a NES to buy again.

Started gaming on this bad boy, Christmas 1994.

It introduced me to a whole universe of fun, challenge, and discovery. Starfox, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi's Island, truly magical stuff.

I followed that same feeling through the years and subsequent generations of consoles to where I am now.

I've never seen this model before, is it a EU version of SNES?

PAL version, I live in Australia. :)

My favourite consoles are the PS2 and PS1. I just have so many memories from those consoles, the list would go on forever.

How about Syphon Filter??? =)

I have only played Logan's Shadow on the PSP. However, since I'm going to the U.S. later this month (when I go, I always go to thrift shops and yard sales, so I find really good deals) I might look out for it.

I almost picked my Gamecube. Nintendo certainly did fewer things I despise, but I also got much less utility out of it. The PSP? It would almost be worth the price just as a poor man's video and music iPod. PSOne Classics are also really awesome on it.

It does have faults, though. It's awesome this thing can be used as a video and music player, but the proprietary memory meant it was always a little memory anemic. I was practically forced away from Sony's online store because the games were just too big and expensive. UMDs with installs are much more practical on a system short on memory than digital distribution. That and Sony's terrible online store were two major black eyes on the system. Seriously? I can't find half the titles I want on your store? No Tenchu 2, but Championship Bass--a game that on its release was considered shovelware--is a PSOne Classic? What gives?!

But Sony's terrible support is not the PSP's fault, now is it?

UMD's are rather misunderstood. I hate the way manufacterers ship them: the white sleeves crush when I try to put them in my carrying case. But the clear sleeves not only don't crush, but they also look really pretty, kinda like the disk is frozen in glass. Alas, there's no helping the noise and loss of battery life.

(I've heard that these clear sleeves don't work on older PSP versions. Again, what gives with the support?)

That's awesome bro, was it hard to get games for it in Australia?

I wouldn't know, my parents bought all our games back then, but they never seemed to have any trouble, haha.

Very nice choice, I remember showing the employee at gamecrazy cash for him to give me an already preordered PSP-1000.. He told his other employee to let the guy know they were short on supply lol, he took my cash and I walked out with a PSP.. The UMDs are very nice to have if your limited on memory. I had a 4gb stick that worked well for me since I never downloaded games just bought UMD. I later bought a PSP Go and it came with 16 GB flash memory. I still use it for music and sometimes play games like Medieval and Killzone Liberation. All my games are stored on it. Only problem is like you said was the lack of support on the store, I mean even games that were digital to begin with are not on the PS Vita store to download. FOr instance let's say you owned a PSP game digital and tried to download it from the PS Vita store you might not find it bcuz Sony hasn't updated the store yet. The only option you have is to connect the Vita to your PS3 that has your PSP game in it. Use content manager to transfer the game to the Vita and bam look at that my PSP game is on my Vita. All that work can be avoided if Sony put up all of their PSP titles on the store. Very good choice bro PSP is still a loved handheld even with the future consoles near by.

I mean we know technically, but I'm talking experience and games.. One game I loved on SNES was Zombies ate my neighbors we need more games like that lol

There is emulator websites bro, I get all my titles free and just burn them on a disc. My new Dreamcast games I play is all emulated since I'm not spending a fortune to own the orignal.. Logan's Shadow looked fun, but I had a tough time with the camera control since there wasn't a second joystick on the PSP. I never got used to using the buttons for camera control
