It will sell once they roll out Smash Bros
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
| KingdomHeartsFan said: You can't think of it as they only need to sell 1 Wii u + a game then they make a profit, they have to make a big enough profit to cover thier expenses and right now they are not. Its the cheapest for a reason, it is the weakest console. Idk how its outselling the PS4 and X1 when they are not even out, if you are only using pre-orders to say this then that is completely off, preorders are usually always less than actual sales, especially considering most people have cut preorders on the X1 because the demand has overtaken the supply. Also about being unfair to the early adopters I just have 1 thing to say...3DS. Idk how innovative the Wii U really is, they haven't come out with any games that use the gamepad in a way that makes me think, omg I have to play that. |
you do realize he was joking on many of those reasons right? I mean the whole keeping games expensive thing has to be a joke right?
I'm surprised. I thought this thread would completely crash and burn with serious ridiculous non-sense on how Nintendo can save the Wii U just with SoftWare. I admit, I was wrong. About the serious part.
Good job on that.
| chapset said: First of all it's the cheapest console out there, only the Ouya is made of cheaper quality material, and the cheapest console always win Second, it's outselling the X1 and PS4 combined by 20k+ every week Third, it's printing money Nintendo said them-self they only need to sell one game to make a profit with the wii U they sold 3,191,581 games so far so they must be rolling in money Fourth, if they cut the price of it now that wouldn't be fair for the early adopters and you know Nintendo doesn't like being unfair with their fanbase that's the reason why their games stay full price for the entirety of the gen. Fifth, with the lack of games on the platform adopters of the wii U are bound to save a shitload of money, it's a pay now to save later kind of thing Sexth, the wii U is far more innovative than any console of the 7th gen and we all know innovation cost money, look at the X1 compared to the ''more of the same'' PS4 it's 100$ more innovative. The wii U is 50$ more innovative than the PS3 and X360 The haters might tell you Nintendo is Doomed but they actually dominating right now. |
First: This is completely false. The PS2 one a landslide. It sold more than 3x it's competitors combined and was 100 more than the xbox, and 200 more than the game cube. The PS3 may also win this gen, if you do the math it is very possible that the ps3 will outsell the wii.
Second: Many gamestops are reporting that they have sold more ps4 preorders to customers than they have sold total wiiu's. Also this argument makes no sense because it you can't have sales for a product that isn't yet out.
third: I bet they would like to sell more than just 1 game per console. Making a few bucks for console isn't rolling in money BTW. Especially when you reazlize they have to put research into developing it
Fourth: They cut the price of the 3DS less than 6 months after realease. And sales skyrocketed.
5 and 6 are so incoherent I can't even counter them. Also, I wouldn't consider it selling less than everything except the PSP (which came out 9 years ago) dominating the markets.
@OP: You must be possessed by Rol. The situation is grave, but not serious, and actually a remedy exists:

I seriously almost choked on my apple.
I had no idea they kept the prices high just out of love for the consumer. Those heartless bastards who lower their prices need to learn from Nintendo's shining example!

Why should they drop the prices? Obviously people still buy the games at the full price, even up to 7 years after the original release. Other publishers would sell their soul for this kind of success :P
"Third, it's printing money Nintendo said them-self they only need to sell one game to make a profit with the wii U they sold 3,191,581 games so far so they must be rolling in money"
That's not true.
