Actually there was plenty of times the PS3 sold around 20K worldwide.. and actually.. some weeks the Wii U is doing better in the US then the PS3 did.. I don't think it will help it too much.. but still.. and a few hundread K Units don't make a differance?? it does if the momentum carries.. and that few hundread K becomes Millions by years end.. and no Point 2 does not exactly counteract point one.. what I was saying is when the others come out.. they will not only have their last gen.. but also Wii U to compete with which is next gen.. at the end.. they could suffer more than the Wii U for that.. or maybe not.. The Wii U might be able to holsd it's own because it is a next gen system.. and will have the games to back it up.. (From Nintendo)

that's true, wii u only had ps360 on the market at the same time. ps4/xone will have to face ps360 + wii u. and for an 8th gen options, not only wii u is the cheapest one but it also has lot's of exclusives to make it different from ps360 while ps4/xone will have mostly ps360 ports.

And WiiU will have PS3+360+PS4+One. If it's selling 20k now with only PS3 and 360 to compete with, how low will it go when the others launch? Your reasoning is flawed

I get ur point but why do u think its selling 20k per week? its line up has been atrocious, Lego City is the only legitimate exclusive and Injustice is the only multiplat thats not a late port. Compare that to PS360 line up this year, DMC, Dead Space, Metal Gear Rising, Tomb Raider, Bioshock, Metro, Colonial Marines, Injustice, Dead Island, Gears of War, God of War, Last of Us, Ni No Kuni, Sly Cooper. Thats a hell of a line up.
From Aug to the end of the year it has a solid exclusive releasing every 2-3 weeks, that will ensure sales pick up, especially since some of those titles are very likely to sell 5 million. It also has a handful of multiplats releasing on time, I know those wont boost sales but its a nice addition to the 1st party titles. Also a reason they may opt to not do a price drop is because of retailer discounts and bundles over the holidays, Basic-$199, Deluxe w/high profile game-$299 can sell pretty well. Im not saying its going to dominate or anything but it should be able to hold its own the rest of the year.
As for Ps4 and One, those systems will sell no matter what Nintendo does since the majority of its sales will be from diehard fans this year. Next year once its launch hype has died down, we will see truly how much demand there is for thosr consoles. I could see them having a post launch slump as well, not nearly as bad as Wii U currently, bit since 90% of there games are available on PS3/360 I could see alot of people not upgrading right away.
I dont think Wii U needs a price cut until Mario Kart 8 releases
Basic-$199
Deluxe Mario Kart 8 bundle-$299
Vs.
PS4 Basic-$399
PS4 w/Camera+Knack-$499
One-$499
Im also guessing PS360 will get price cuts sometime next year to $149-$249
