So does this mean anything for the Playstation 4? Because if not I couldn't care less.

Well many dont mind renting of Sony via PSN Plus. So I dont really know what the issue is.

I for one will be more than happy with DRM and 24 hr checkin. As long as the family sharing stuff from MS stays in the package.

You're not REALLY attempting that argument are you?

PSN+ = $50 and you get "glorified rentals" for 1-year. This brings a minimum of 15-20 games throughout the course of the year, with it most likely being closer to 25-30 games at least. At 20 games you paid ~$2.25 per title, which is the cost of a 1-day RedBox rental, exept you get it for an entire 12-months. If you decide to drop the service and then 6 months later want to finish that game you download on it, just sign up for another month and ALL your games come back. Either way it is incredible value for your money.

Your Always Online DRM is $60 PER GAME for the same "glorified rental". With this you are paying for your game in the same exact way you do for retail, except you lose ALL the advantages. To me there really is no true added value @ that price point. Now, if digital games with this DRM cost $25-$30 at launch...

You can't even begin to attempt to compare the two.

But hey, if you're fine and don't care about the products you purchase with your hard earned money actually holding any real value, then more power to you.

Me? My opinion on the whole situation is that following that and being okay with it is the same as me being totally wreckless with my money.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Right... ms was totally going to allow gamesharing with 9 other people no strings attached, that wouldn't affect their bottom line at all... that was a PR solution in response to negative feedback and not part of the original design as they would have otherwise been touting such benefits at the reveal before E3. Keep believing that though.

If I have a Blu-ray player, Netflix/redbox/vudu, why do I need 4k? honestly it seems mostly irrelevant.

I will permaban myself if the game releases in 2014.

in reference to KH3 release date

People do realise that this is entirely different to the Xbox One. You need an internet connection (and a bloody fast one) to be able to download the films in the first place. There is no physical disc (ie 4K Blu-Ray). It gets all of its films from the Internet.

@Euphoria14
So are you saying you pirate all of your PC games? You are part of the problem.

Doesnt matter its still a rental service. No matter which way you look at it.

But I really want to move to all digital. Its benefits are much better. Except used game sales.

Tell me when it doesn't cost 3,000+ to get a 4K TV.

@Netyaroze
You are supposed to have a license to drive regardless. What are you inferring?

There is a reason why they never fully outlined what exactly goes on with the family share plan. I don't even think it was going to be ready for launch.

There is a lot of things we don't fully know.

I also doubt it was a no strings attached feature.

Why the hell do you apllying this to gaming? It's completely another market, with a lot of problems too, like much higher % of pirates(who want 4K the most :D), live dvd market(while it should be dead by now), conservative ppl, getting 4K on the market is a huge pain in the ass.

But i'm sure, it won't be that bad(online), someday they would provide offline way to watch 4K, they need to.
