Sony need to b giving games away not renting before PSN Plus is even in the same ballpark.

Xbox game giveaway isn't even anywhere near a ballpark compared to the PS+ service

I've never heard of Defense Grid. One things for certain though, I need to clear my harddrive out for all of these cheap/free* games.

And please for the love of God make this permanent.

I can see why people are disappointed. If you say AC2 and H3 are coming, getting a worse game is annoying and also implies that AC2 and H3 will be the best they deliver. And both are pretty old games anyway.

The PS+ represents fantastic value for money and throws me more free games than I have time to play.

Regardless of if it's a 'rental' service or not.

It's a voluntary payment system that isn't a necessity yet represents (clearly by # of subscribers) fantastic value for money.

Xbox Gold (counting this and upcoming offers) doesn't even come close yet.

You would have no freebies if Sony never started the trend. Nothing is truly free for MS gamers and MS would've shuddered at the thought. They don't even let you enjoy the perks of your own internet connection that you paid for.

Perhaps next time they'll give gamers some proper "rental" games instead of getting a backlash for that too. Not a good start at all. Luckily Sony is putting pressure on them to up the quality of games up for sale on deep discount when you guys get them. Hate Sony even when they inadvertantly help you with this and the DRM.

Don't be foolish, not all games on PSN Plus are for rent. Some are rent, some have deep discounts weekly and theres also DLC and more. The Deep discounted games, you can keep just like the DLC and themes. 

A rental service cannot provide offers. You dont own it. Oh wait wasnt that what people were complining about from DRM issue wit Microsoft.

Microsoft are givng away free games forever. We should start a petiton against how badly Sony is treating our rights as consumers.

Disagree. If you look at it, Sony's offering indy titles to encourage gamers to branch out, while Microsoft is offering already successful titles in hopes of making their mega-franchise future releases even bigger. Free games extends to PS4. I haven't heard about this extending to XB1, and I expect it won't.

To an initial glance it looks like they're competing, but they actually aren't.
