thanks for asnwering my question with the obvious: there's nothing in that video to get hyped for if you're a gamer.

Cuz obvi your opinion is better than ours and represents every other gamer out there. Brilliant. You don't have to be hyped, but we are. End of story.

My opinion is irrelevant, I'm mentioning an absolute truth here. people are free to be hyped for future game graphics after seeing that video but considering that's a game then no one can possibly be hyped for it before actually seeing what it's gonna be like. basically whatever hype anyone gets from that video is COMPLETELY UNRELATED WITH GAMING ITSELF. If it was a trailer for an already established and quality franchise it would be ok to hype a little because something good would be expected.

as far as I know the dark sorcerer is suposed to be a game. the question is how can someone hype a GAME that only had a cutscene/cgi trailer revealed? no gameplay

The fact that it's interactive means this is the graphical fidelity we can expect in-game. This is not simply a cut-scene/cgi trailer.

Have you ever played a Quantic Dream game? The gameplay is practically married with the animations to evoke emotional responses from the player so this tech demo is quite relevant.

it's a cutscene and I'm not discussing graphics here. it's irrelevant if the game will look as good as that, what matters is that nothing of the actual game was shown (gameplay).

Who said they were hyped for the game (which hasn't even been confirmed as a game yet)?

I didn't say anyone specificaly was hyped, I just mentioned that I can't see a gamer getting hyped for a game with no gameplay shown. this goes beyond the dark sorcerer demo since many games are revealed in a cgi/cutscene first but gameplay only comes months later and that's ridiculous.

The reason no gameplay was shown was because it was a tech demo.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with announcing a game and not showing gameplay.

If it is a tech demo of course there's no problem in not having gameplay. but as I said there was a "to be continued" when they showed it at E3 so I really think that's a game.

by announcing I mean showing a cutsece trailer and no gameplay whatsoever. showing just a teaser is ok.

I liked the tech demo, but for some reason the face is too realistic...that it's not realistic to me. It's strange.

Uncanny Valley?

if you're not playing anything or at least watching gameplay footage then it's not gameplay.

If you change anything in the scene through any kind of input... it is gameplay.

There are games that you just choose answers like a quiz... it's gameplay.

We can discuss how bad and primitive the gameplay is but it's still gameplay.

You can control the camera, change things on the screen, etc on this demo... it's gameplay.

It's a video that you can change camera angles and everything happens regardless of what you do. IT'S NOT GAMEPLAY. we don't even know what genre the thing is because there was no gameplay and I repeat: how can someone get any hype for that video? isn't it a lot better to only show a game trailer when you actually have gameplay to show?

Gee. I don't know. Maybe cuz it's the most realistic video to date and makes people look forward to what this next generation has to offer? Just a thought.

Starnge... Im a gamer for nearly 2 decades and still got hyped seeing that The diffrence is that some of us can actually see what potential lies behind it, while you are simply trolling

potential for what? as a game trailer, it showed nothing about the game it will be so no game related hype can come out of it.
