60FPS is more or less a gimmick in terminology to imply something looks better than it does... the difference between 30fps and 60fps isn't really noticeable. Still it is a great feat for continuity of the images to stay above 30 fps, but it doesn't really mean the graphics are better... just faster...

Yeah, but what do you prefer: extremely beautiful 30fps graphics that falls to 15fps when heavy rendering, or beautiful 60fps graphics that falls to 30fps?

That indeed is a great point! and I think that is the only matter in which case that higher FPS rates can have over lower FPS rates.

Also I didn't mean to say MGS V wasn't impressive graphically it was, I just think the 3 others I mentioned were more impressive. Also I'm not sure how the game world size really affects the graphics except in draw distance, and MGS V had a lot less things to render on the screen, so I think if say I:SS was in the desert then it would have looked as good if not better than MGS V. As it stands I think MGS V looks better. Even still I give it fourth overall

1) the Division (this game looks amazing i just saw a video of it for the first time today, how did i not know about this game)

2) inFamous (followed closely by...)

3) Killzone 3

i havent seen much MGSV footage so im not adding it... yet.

and forza deseves an honerable mention, but its a racing game, and its just different.

Infamous SS, the Division, MGS V. Although dark sorcerer looked better than all the games but was a tech demo.

Pikmin 3? Mario Kart 8? Are you freaking kidding me??!?!!

I wasn't kidding but you have to ask the other people. If graphics just means high polygon counts than i guess tech analysis would be the way to go. Graphics to me are combination of art direction and fidelity. That is why i mentioned Mario Kart 8 and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

MK8 looks amazing. Finally a true looking GAME with great graphics... Sure other games look more realistic, but that isn't always necessary... I haven't seen enough cartoony games lately... with all this improved hardware it would be great to see a lot more artistry in next gen games.

To put things in perspective, Kirby's Epic Yarn earned a lot of best graphics nods in 2010, a year that saw games like Killzone 3, Gran Turismo 5, and so on.  Graphics are not simply a matter of polygons.

While I certainly recognize that Infamous Second Son is technically superior to Pikmin 3, I like the art style of Pikmin 3 a lot better and find it to be a more attractive game.
