That's... err...

If you didn't like the first two games, why did you buy the rest?

I am a collector of course. And what kind of collection would it be if there was a franchise with such renown that was not present? ;)

A sensible one

Soooo, with a GTA 1080ti, 6700k and a 144hz 1440p monitor, this has been my general experience of Wolfenstein 2 so far

Complete with micro stuttering, screen tearing if I don't use their vsync option and the game doesn't support the Steam overlay, as well as it crashing if you so much as alt tab out of it. Oh, and you also cannot delete your save files, you have to locate the files manually outside of the game itself.

Amazing port job machine games!

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

So apparently Denuvo might be behind the CPU issues in ACO. That kinda sucks. I mean I'm already half through the game now and had to live with all the stuttering :(

Even if they fix the shit I won't have much of it since I'm gonna be through with it anyway.

Planet Coaster at 45% off on Steam is a great deal for a very good game.

My biggest concern with Planet Coaster, and those kind of games, is that I never manage to build the park as I imagine it. And the more tools they give, the harder or more complex it becomes for me to actually use them to build the rides and other buildings .

But I'll get it one day! When it's cheap and the users have shared a lot of content in the workshop for me to use ^.^

It had to be Ubisoft. When all the other devs start moving away from the now almost Denuvo, they go with it in a way that hinders performance.

I've read a bit more about it and apparently what will have the most performance impact is something called VMProtect. Basically another anti piracy measure on top of Denuvo. It basically virtulizes the code to obfuscate it. Adding another overhead to every cycle in an already CPU intensive game sounds like a really bad idea.

So the game has UPlay, Denuvo, maybe Steam if you buy it from that store and another DRM feature on top of all of that...

Man, without all that extra stuff, the pirated version of the game should be able to run even on an old Core 2 Duo processor!

I doubt Steam and Uplay add anything to the CPU overhead.

True. I added them because they also function as DRM.

There's a new quaterly report for Hard Drive reliability:

Hard Drive Stats for Q3 2017
https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-drive-failure-rates-q3-2017/
In this update, we’ll review the Q3 2017 and lifetime hard drive failure rates for all our drive models in use at the end of Q3. We’ll also check in on our 8 TB enterprise versus consumer hard drive comparison, and look at the storage density changes in our data centers over the past couple of years. Along the way, we’ll share our observations and insights, and as always, you can download the hard drive statistics data we use to create these reports.

The failure rate of Seagate's 4TB drives still surprises me.

They should add failure rates of SSDs.
