http://www.pcgamer.com/grim-dawn-ashes-of-malmouth-is-out-now/
Grim Dawn’s Ashes of Malmouth expansion launched yesterday, introducing new classes like the Necromancer and the Inquisitor, and continuing the action-RPG’s gloomy story with two new chapters. It’s pretty meaty, and also throws in a cosmetic system that lets you change the appearance of your items, like Diablo’s transmogrification system.

It's not everyday you find a game billed as "chamomile for the soul," which is exactly what three-woman Italian developer CoseBelle wants to create with Selling Sunlight, an upcoming narrative-driven RPG starring a faceless wandering merchant. It's currently on Kickstarter, with CoseBelle asking for $14,250. At the time of writing, it has raised $12,545 and will run for another 12 days.

http://www.pcgamer.com/past-cure-the-game-about-a-man-tormented-by-mannequins-is-coming-in-february/
Remember Past Cure? It was revealed in July with a trailer showcasing "the struggles of a man torment by shiny muscular mannequins," as we put it. That may not be the most concise headline you'll ever read, but to be honest nothing about it was very clear: The game is about a former soldier named Ian who's hunting down the people who peformed secret, shady experiments on him.
This interactive food sim was designed to make you hungry
http://www.pcgamer.com/this-interactive-food-sim-was-designed-to-make-you-hungry/
There's a surprising number of games about food, from cooking food to driving food to raising animals to turn into food. Plus, soon enough we'll have the absurdly detailed food of Final Fantasy 15 to ogle. But few take the idea of 'food game' as literally as Nour, an "interactive food sim" that's currently on Kickstarter, with solo developer Tj Hughes asking for $25,000 to bring it to life. At the time of writing, it has raised $18,836 and will run for another six days.

http://www.pcgamer.com/shadow-of-war-loot-box-cheat/
Amid the divisive loot box trend, PC players have been finding their own way to deal, foremost in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. By using Cheat Engine scripts to give themselves unlimited Mirian, some players have found it's possible to buy a infinite supply of loot and war chests, drowning themselves in uruks and gear. In the NeoGAF thread that tipped us off, members are going back and forth on the ethics of the exploit, and sharing methods for pulling it off.
Epic sues two Fortnite cheaters
http://www.pcgamer.com/epic-sues-two-fortnite-cheaters/
Epic Games took on the touchy topic of Fortnite cheaters last week, saying that thousands had already been banned and warning of more to come. "We’re exploring every measure to ensure these cheaters are removed and stay removed from Fortnite Battle Royale and the Epic ecosystem," the studio said. And apparently it wasn't dicking around: Epic has filed two lawsuits, one against Brandon Broom and the other against Charles Vraspir, for copyright infringement, breach of contract, and other such bits of illegality, all as a result of cheating.
>>SvennoJ has made a thread about it, focusing on what this could mean for modding.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 finished up its open beta only hours ago, and player response is muddied: people love the actual game but not so much its loot box and progression systems. It's prompted a fair bit of debate this week, but in a new post marking the end of the beta, DICE has laid out its plans and hopes for crates and progression.
Riot's co-founders are going back to making new games
http://www.pcgamer.com/riots-co-founders-are-going-back-to-making-new-games/
Over the course of a decade, Riot Games has grown into a huge studio with 20 offices around the world and over 2,500 employees, all built around a single game: League of Legends. But that could be set to change, with Riot co-founders Brandon “Ryze” Beck and Marc “Tryndamere” Merrill stepping away from the management side of things, and back to making games.

With Crytek’s co-op shooter making its way to Steam Early Access, it’s time for another trailer. We’ve seen a fair amount of the game recently, including a 12 minute developer walkthrough, but the new Steam trailer provides a handy overview of Hunt: Showdown, prepping hunters for ambushes, shootouts and demon hunts.

http://www.pcgamer.com/lego-marvel-super-heroes-2s-story-trailer-reveals-kangs-evil-plot/
Lego Marvel Super Heroes is, in this lover of tiny bricks’ humble opinion, the best Lego game, and an unexpectedly great open-world game to boot. After a slightly disappointing Lego Marvel’s Avengers spin-off, it’s finally getting a proper sequel next month, and a new trailer breaks down what’s going on in the Lego Universe. In a word: Kang.
