I can't wait for the next game from Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone's, the creator of the brilliant, gentle farming sim Stardew Valley. Details about his future plans are sparse but during a Reddit Q&A he shed some light on his next project's setting, revealing that it will take place "on the same planet" as Stardew Valley, "although it's not a sequel or expansion in any way".
Making Final Fantasy 15 for PC is '100 times' easier than console version, says game director

The PC version of Final Fantasy 15 is set to become the definitive edition of the game. It will boast improved graphics, a new first-person mode and support for 8K resolutions. You'd think those add-ons would make development difficult—not so, according to game director Hajime Tabata. In fact, he says it was "more than 100 times" easier crafting the PC edition than the console version before it.
Final Fantasy 14's huge update goes live today, adds a FF12-themed raid
http://www.pcgamer.com/final-fantasy-14s-huge-update-goes-live-today-adds-a-ff12-themed-raid/
Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood was an incredible journey when I reviewed it back in the summer. But since seeing the credits roll on the main story quest, players haven't had all that much to do outside of raiding and leveling up other classes. That changes today with the release of update 4.1, The Legend Returns, which introduces the first 24-player raid inspired by Final Fantasy 12, a bunch of new story quests, and the new Japanese-themed housing district Shirogane.
>>Despite the new update, the housing problem still seems to be a big thing.
Valve's next major TF2 balancing update is 'imminent'
http://www.pcgamer.com/major-tf2-balancing-update-is-imminent/
Valve's next TF2 update is going to be a biggie, overhauling some of the multiplayer shooter's most iconic weapons and fixing items that have been unbalanced for years. When Valve announced the changes in June it didn't say when the update was due. After a blog post from the developer yesterday we still don't have a precise date, but we do have a much better idea.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is headed to Origin Access
http://www.pcgamer.com/mass-effect-andromeda-is-headed-to-origin-access/
It's been pretty well established by now that Mass Effect: Andromeda did not live up to the legacy of the original trilogy, nor did it sell especially well. Even so, this feels like the line drawn under the whole sorry story—the final insult, if you will. Less than seven months after it was released, Electronic Arts is putting it on Origin Access.
The creators of Titanfall are making a 'realistic' VR war game
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-creators-of-titanfall-are-making-a-realistic-vr-war-game/
Facebook and Oculus VR have partnered with Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment to put out an Oculus Rift virtual reality game in 2019. The teaser shown at Oculus Connect today (watch it above) confirms it's another war game, as expected, but rather than talking up how cool it'd be to pilot mechs in VR, Respawn is pulling from the Call of Duty marketing playbook.

Horror sequel The Evil Within 2 comes out on October 13, which is just a couple of days away, and by now you probably have a pretty good idea of what grim delights it has in store. For those of you who don't, the launch trailer is here to help.
Ubisoft explains why Assassin's Creed: Origins has adjustable difficulty
http://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-explains-why-assassins-creed-origins-has-adjustable-difficulty/
"For better or worse," we said last week, "Assassin's Creed: Origins is an RPG now." That shifting aspect of the game is reflected in a number of different ways, not least of them the addition of a difficulty setting, a first for the series. The idea, game director Ashraf Ismail told GamesRadar, is to ensure that while Origins' gameplay is "deeper" than previous games in the series, it still remains accessible to everyone.
Shadow of War has an orc who will hunt you down and sing to you
http://www.pcgamer.com/singer-shadow-of-war/
The Singer is an orc musician that will hunt you down and sing to you in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. I mean, he'll also try to kill you—but he'll do it with a surprisingly durable lute, grappling with your sword as he delivers this rhyming couplet right in your face:
>>Sorry, you'll have to check the article or buy the game to know the song.
Noise might be your greatest foe in Hunt: Showdown
http://www.pcgamer.com/noise-might-be-your-greatest-foe-in-hunt-showdown/
Being quiet seems to be one of the most important skills for competitive demon hunters in Hunt: Showdown. Gunshots and explosions can alert other players to your position, and demons too. In a new video with developer commentary, the duo of hunters forget this and that’s why they don’t escape with their trophy.
Please excuse my bad English.
