Today EA unveiled the remaining three parts of the package, which collectively will bring the Russians to the front, incorporate naval warfare, give us a disastrous campaign against the Ottoman Empire, and introduce players to some of the most hellishly apocalyptic battles of the war.

HEARTHSTONE’S SMALL-TIME BUCCANEER NERF IS NOW LIVE
http://www.pcgamer.com/hearthstones-small-time-buccaneer-nerf-is-now-live/
Even if you’re currently wearing two eyepatches, anyone who has played Hearthstone since the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion dropped can’t have failed to notice that Small-Time Buccaneer was a bit too strong. And by strong, I mean absolutely bloody broken. But as of now, the dread pirate’s reign of terror is (hopefully) over. The promised nerf to Buccaneer—which reduces the card’s health from 2 to 1, making it much easier to handle— is now live on all servers.

STEEL DIVISION: NORMANDY 44 IS A REALISTIC WW2 RTS COMING THIS YEAR
http://www.pcgamer.com/steel-division-normandy-44-is-a-realistic-ww2-rts-coming-this-year/
Publisher Paradox Interactive and Wargame/RUSE creators Eugen Systems are on a mission to make “the most authentic real-time tactical game” set in World War 2. At least, that’s how Eugen’s Alexis Le Dressay introduced me to the upcoming Steel Division: Normandy 44 in a Skype call filled with talk of impassible French hedgerows, the stress of being under machine gun fire, and making 1:1 scale maps from aerial photography of Normandy taken during the actual conflict in question. It’s a tall order, as historical accuracy doesn't always equate to enjoyable gameplay. But Le Dressay sounded inspired by that challenge.

Like I predicted. Not a knock-out success in terms of performance, Sadly, rubs salt in the wounds with people who thought this was going to soundly beat Intel and usher in a new CPU revolution with AMD on top. (Hate to say I told you so again. :P)

Way better than Bulldozer and it's derivatives, can compete with the i7 6900K in some benchmarks yet come up short massively in others, basically brings  AMD back to being a viable option for some at least.

In a few lightly-threaded benchmarks it's showing per-core performance that resembles a Core i5... Where it truly shines is when you can stretch all of those 16 threads which the chip then shows what it can really do, seems the Engineering Sample leaked benchmarks weren't to far from the truth, the data center/server segments should eat these chips up. - They are potent and cheap for that they offer for that market.

Motherboards are still only low-end/mid-range.

The real test will be over the long term with Ryzens successor, AMD should realise where it falls short and fix it.

Those that are stuck on Core 2 Quads, Nahelem, Phenom, Phenom 2 and Bulldozer, there are some chips worth upgrading to in the Ryzen lineup... But I will personally be making the move to LGA 2066 rather than AM4, AMD didn't bring the goods for me to consider them as an upgrade this time around for my main rig.

I am keen to see how Intel reacts though to be honest.

Zen/Ryzen is what Bulldozer should have been. At least it closes the gap between AMD and Intel enough to make AMD a compelling choice for more users than before. Also, those who use multithreaded applications but don't have the money for Intel's top chips, can now get one of this without remorse.

What's surprising is the gaming performance (I suggest taking a look at Guru3D review with several games). It looks like there's still some fixes to do in the Ryzen drivers.

As reported last year by Gamespot, Mass Effect producer Fabrice Condominas indicated on N7 Day last year—that's November 7—that a Mass Effect: Andromeda multiplayer tech test would take place prior to the release of the game. Today, however, BioWare said in a blog post about its presence at the upcoming PAX East that the plan has been scrapped.
Update: In response to my inquiry, BioWare sent over the following statement. "Our team worked extremely hard building, testing, and balancing multiplayer, and we ultimately determined that a tech test would not be necessary."

Idk, the Ryzen benchmarks seems to do pretty well. Yes it is lagging behind intel which shouldn't surprise anyone but its not exactly very far behind... Considering the price points and the value proposition that Ryzen brings, I think intel will respond with a price drop across the board one way or another. Most likely with their 8xxx series.

What I am wondering is whether or not it would be a good idea to sell people's current 6700k and etc while the price is still high before intel launches their 8xxx series and drops the prices.

Ryzen is good, but not great as some expected/hoped.

Still, for gaming a fast quad CPU seems a  better choice. We'll have to wait for Ryzen 3 to see if they are worth competitors, but at least they'll be cheap.

AMD RX 500 series Launch April 4th with three rebrands
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/amd-rx-500-series-launch-april-4th-with-three-rebrands.html
We talked about a possible rehash before, but it seems it's now more validated. AMD will be rebranding some of the 400 series graphics cards into the RX 500 series. Starting April 4 you sould see the Radeon RX 570 and RX 580, followed by Radeon RX 550 en RX 560 on April 11th.

The Radeon RX 580 would be a faster version of the RX 480 with a bump in clock frequency towards 1340 MHz. The 570 would be a 38 MHz faster model based on the RX 470. Both models will again be offered in a 4GB and 8 GB version.

The RX 560 is a 460 with 1024 stream processors abd a clock frequency of 1287 MHz. This would make the 560 substantially faster compared to the 460. The RX 550 would be Polaris 12 based, a new low-end SKU. Details on that one are missing.

VEGA will be released later, quite honestly expect that to be released end of May/June in the Computex time frame
