DEAD RISING – FIRST SCREENSHOTS RELEASED FOR THIS UPCOMING REMASTER

http://www.dsogaming.com/screenshot-news/dead-rising-first-screenshots-released-for-this-upcoming-remaster/

Capcom has revealed the first screenshots for the upcoming remake of the first Dead Rising game. In Dead Rising, players take the role of Frank; a photojournalist who ends up trapped in a shopping mall in the fictional town of Willamette, Colorado, that is infested with zombies. Although there is no release date yet, we do know that this remaster is being developed by QLOC.

NO MAN'S SKY PC RELEASE DATE MAY HAVE BEEN PUSHED BACK VERY SLIGHTLY

http://www.pcgamer.com/no-mans-sky-pc-release-date-may-have-been-pushed-back-very-slightly/

We've been saying for awhile now that the massive space exploration game No Man's Sky will be out on August 9. As it turns out, we may have been wrong. The situation isn't entirely clear at the moment, but the No Man's Sky website currently lists the release date as August 9 for the PS4 in North America, August 10 in Europe, and “on PC worldwide on August 12.”

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2017 – NEW SCREENSHOTS RELEASED

http://www.dsogaming.com/screenshot-news/pro-evolution-soccer-2017-new-screenshots-released/

Konami announced today a three-year Premium Partner agreement with Barcelona, which will see KONAMI granted extensive access to the club’s stars and have a visible presence within the match day experience.

EPIC’S TIM SWEENEY: “MS WILL SLOWLY FORCE-PATCH WIN10 TO MAKE STEAM PROGRESSIVELY WORSE & MORE BROKEN”

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/epics-tim-sweeney-slowly-ms-will-force-patch-win10-to-make-steam-progressively-worse-more-broken/

We all know that Tim Sweeney, co-founder of Epic Games and co-creator of the Unreal Engine, is not a big fan of Microsoft’s Universal Window Platform (UWP). Back in March, Sweeney accused Microsoft of trying to monopolise PC games development. And today, Sweeney shared his concerns regarding Microsoft’s stance towards Steam.

DANGEROUS GOLF DEVELOPER RULES OUT EXPANSIONS OR SEQUELS

http://www.pcgamer.com/dangerous-golf-developer-rules-out-expansions-or-sequels/

Dangerous Golf, the game about wrecking things with your club and balls, is by most reports—including ours—not particularly good. So the desire for more, be it through an expansion or a sequel, may not be running all that hot anyway. But on the off-chance that you were looking forward to more courses or options in the future, the news isn't good: When Console Obsession asked Three Fields Entertainment Creative Director Alex Ward if the game will “continue to evolve over time,” he answered bluntly, “No.”

PATH OF EXILE – NEW VIDEO SHOWCASES PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS FOR VERSION 2.4.0

http://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/path-of-exile-new-video-showcases-performance-improvements-for-version-2-4-0/

Grinding Gear Games has released a new video in which Jonathan Rogers, Technical Director at Grinding Gear Games, discusses the performance improvements that are coming in version 2.4.0. Path of Exile is a free-to-play online action RPG and its upcoming 2.4.0 will offer better multi-threading CPU support (that will significantly improve the game’s performance).

FREE "TRUMP RISING" DLC BRINGS THE DONALD TO SUPREME RULER ULTIMATE

http://www.pcgamer.com/free-trump-rising-dlc-brings-the-donald-to-supreme-ruler-ultimate/

BattleGoat Studios describes its Supreme Ruler series as “real-time geo-political military strategy games,” leading players from the Second World War through the Cold War and beyond, “as our world lurches from one crisis to the next.” In that context, the new DLC announced today is perfectly fitting: Supreme Ruler: Trump Rising gives players the ability to lead the World's Greatest Nation as the World's Shoutiest Cheeto—or to take control of a different nation and try to minimize the damage.

SIX YEARS LATER, ODDWORLD: MUNCH'S ODDYSEE IS NO LONGER A BROKEN PORT

http://www.pcgamer.com/six-years-later-oddworld-munchs-oddysee-is-no-longer-a-broken-port/

Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee first received a PC port way back in 2010, and has since troubled sorry purchasers with a variety of game-breaking bugs—some can’t even get it to start. Fixes were promised right after release, and nearly six years later, they’re finally here. The developers built an entirely new port that's been on the Steam beta branch since February, and after five months it's finally taken over the main branch.

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE: OPERATION SKULL RAIN GOES TO BRAZIL FOR TWO NEW OPERATORS

http://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-operation-skull-rain-goes-to-brazil-for-two-new-operators/

The next Rainbow Six Siege expansion is called Operation Skull Rain, which is the sort of title I would've considered seriously bad-ass when I was 12. That minor quibble aside, it sounds like it could be fun: This time, following the chill of Black Ice and the grit of Dust Line, Ubisoft is taking its show to the sweltering cities of Brazil.

TEN MINUTES OF DUAL UNIVERSE GAMEPLAY REVEALED IN NEW VIDEO

http://www.pcgamer.com/ten-minutes-of-dual-universe-gameplay-revealed-in-new-video/

Dual Universe was announced in May as a single-shard sci-fi MMO with a focus on “emergent collective gameplay based around exploration, mining, crafting, trade, politics and warfare.” A trailer released in June for E3 offered a brief look at how that expansive, rather vague description might work out in terms of actual gameplay, and last week developer Novaquark released a longer video that's admittedly less dramatic, but also more specific about what the studio has in mind.

STARTING FROM BATMAN, ALL TELLTALE GAMES WILL SUPPORT MULTIPLAYER

http://www.pcgamer.com/starting-from-batman-all-telltale-games-will-support-multiplayer/

It's common to attract spectators while playing Telltale's narrative-driven adventures, and naturally enough, those spectators like to call the shots as well. So it'd be cool if multiple players could vote on the game's decisions and dialogue trees too, right? That's apparently what is going to happen in all Telltale Games from now on, starting with the forthcoming Batman adaptation, a studio spokesperson said at Comic-Con in San Diego yesterday.

PREY FOR THE GODS SLAYS KICKSTARTER GOAL

http://www.pcgamer.com/prey-for-the-gods-slays-kickstarter-goal/

What is it about giant godlike monsters that makes people want to clamber all over them? Maybe it's the fur (they just look so cuddly), or maybe it's the strange desire to wipe these monsters from the Earth, so that loved ones might resurrect, or an endless Winter might dissipate, saving mankind. The Shadow of the Colossus-inspired Prey for the Gods goes for the second one, which I suppose is a worthwhile reason, and if you've been following its funding campaign you'll be pleased to hear that the game has just reached its Kickstarter goal.

BATTLEZONE 98 REDUX EXPANDS WITH THE RED ODYSSEY

http://www.pcgamer.com/battlezone-98-redux-expands-with-the-red-odyssey/

Battlezone 98 Redux is a new version of, you guessed it, Battlezone, the RTS-FPS mash-up that posited galactic warfare between the USA and its arch-nemesis, itself - sorry, its arch-nemesis, Russia. Now, the remake of that old game has been joined by a remake of its old expansion, The Red Odyssey. This adds two new campaigns set in the Jupiter region, along with a couple of new playable factions: the NSDF Black Dogs and the Chinese Red Army.

TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER GETS PILE OF FREE DLC

http://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-gets-pile-of-free-dlc/

Total War: Warhammer is getting minotaurs courtesy of its Call of the Beastmen expansion, but what about all the loyal customers that don't want to shell out money for the DLC - don't they deserve some extra stuff too? No, not really, but it's nice of developer Creative Assembly to provide some anyway. To accompany the release of the expansion, all players (whether they own the DLC or not) will be getting a new hero and mount, new multiplayer features and maps, an "unlockable lord" for custom or multiplayer battles, and a new A.I.-controlled opposition race.

PLANET COASTER HURTLING TOWARDS STEAM RELEASE

http://www.pcgamer.com/planet-coaster-hurtling-towards-steam-release/

Frontier is making a theme park sim, in case you hadn't noticed: a spiritual successor to its RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Andy got his hands on the early access version back in March, and reckoned that it was "shaping up nicely"; you may have your own opinion, as it's currently possible to buy your way into that early access via the official site.

MOUSEY RPG GHOST OF A TALE HITS EARLY ACCESS

http://www.pcgamer.com/mousey-rpg-ghost-of-a-tale-hits-early-access/

We've been following Ghost of a Tale for a few years now, and if you've seen it you'll understand why. HAVE you seen it? Just look at it, for heaven's sake, it's absolutely gorgeous. For too long GoaT has been a thing we look at rather than one we can actually play, but all that changed yesterday, as that's when the game hit Steam Early Access and GOG.

CIVILIZATION 6 TRAILER OFFERS FIRST LOOK AT ITS TAKE ON FRANCE

http://www.pcgamer.com/civilization-6-trailer-offers-first-look-at-its-take-on-france/

Catherine de Medici is your leader if you choose to play as France in Civilization 6, and as a new trailer reveals, her specialities are related to espionage and mid-game wonders. France is also the only nation able to build châteaus, which is fair enough considering I had to google how to spell the word just now.

I just would like to highlight this little game. It was recommended to me by a friend. It's free and it takes around 10 minutes to complete. It's pretty worth your time though.

By the way, if anyone from the UK or Europe is thinking about getting a new PC, Hexus is doing a competition with a quite powerful PC (i7-6950X, GTX 1080, 16GB RAM, 400GB SSD+2TB HDD, Win10; and all liquid cooled) as the price. And the question is very easy!

MARVEL: ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 1 & 2 ARE A MESS ON THE PC

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/marvel-ultimate-alliance-1-2-are-a-mess-on-the-pc/

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 have just been released on Steam and… both of them are really awful ports. While the games are not that demanding when it comes to PC specs, their control mechanics are among the worst we’ve ever seen.

NO MAN’S SKY – NEW TRAILER FOCUSES ON SURVIVAL

http://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/no-mans-sky-new-trailer-focuses-on-survival/

Hello Games has released a new trailer for No Man’s Sky that focuses on the game’s survival part. As its description reads, many planets have extreme conditions that make survival difficult. For example, some planets will have extreme temperatures – from freezing lows to scorching highs – while others are drenched in toxic rain, heavily irradiated or completely submerged.

RICHARD GARRIOTT'S MMO SHROUD OF THE AVATAR IS ABOUT TO BE WIPED FOR THE FINAL TIME

http://www.pcgamer.com/richard-garriotts-mmo-shroud-of-the-avatar-is-about-to-be-wiped-for-the-final-time/

It's been awhile since we last talked about Shroud of the Avatar, the crowdfunded, Early-Accessed MMO that Richard “Lord British” Garriott unveiled to the world back in 2013. But work has continued, and it now stands on the cusp of a major milestone: At midnight CDT on July 27, the game servers will be taken offline for a final wipe, after which persistence—that is, the real game—will begin.

ANA'S ALREADY GOTTEN A BUFF IN LATEST OVERWATCH UPDATE

http://www.pcgamer.com/anas-already-gotten-a-buff-in-latest-overwatch-update/

Blizzard has rolled out an update to the PC version of Overwatch that fixes a few bugs and makes tweaks to Ana and McCree. Ana's Biotic Rifle now fires 20 percent faster than it used to and has a higher-capacity magazine—ten rounds, instead of eight—while McCree's rate of fire has been increased by 15 percent and his flashbang recovery time has been cut from .5 to .35 seconds.

Nexon's Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex—First Assault Online, which for the sake of my fingers and sanity I will henceforth refer to as simply First Assault, is about to enter open beta. Beginning July 28, all players will be able to access the game at no charge as it heads into the final stretch before full launch.

WATCH DOGS 2 VIDEO PROFILES NEW PROTAGONIST MARCUS HOLLOWAY

http://www.pcgamer.com/watch-dogs-2-video-profiles-new-protagonist-marcus-holloway/

As we learnt at E3 last month, Watch Dogs 2 has a new protagonist in Marcus Holloway. Originally from Oakland, Marcus moves to San Francisco to rub shoulders with other hackers, and finally falls in with DedSec. A self-taught programmer, Marcus is described as "passionate" and "a fighter" by the Ubisoft spokespeople in the video, and these are important qualities when you have to shoot lots of people and steal cars and hack into corporate networks.

HERE'S A NEW SYSTEM SHOCK REMASTERED STREAM FEATURING WARREN SPECTOR

http://www.pcgamer.com/heres-a-new-system-shock-remastered-stream-featuring-warren-spector/

The System Shock Remastered crowdfunding campaign has already met and exceeded its $900,000 target, with the current figure sitting at an impressive $1,222,754 and rising. To celebrate, Night Dive Studios hosted a marathon three hour livestream earlier today, and in addition to commentating the pre-alpha demo we've all already played, Warren Spector himself turned up to comment on the new game, and to do a walkthrough of the original System Shock.

THE BINDING OF ISAAC CREATOR EDMUND MCMILLEN TEASES NEW GAME

Despite ongoing work on The Binding of Isaac and a forthcoming, turnbased RPG spin-off called The Legend of Bum-bo, Edmund McMillen has yet another project in the works. Teased on his official Tumblr earlier this week, the unnamed game is an action platformer featuring the same protagonist as one of McMillen's earlier games, Time Fcuk.

RIPTIDE GP: RENEGADE OFFERS STUNTS ON WATER-BIKES, OUT NOW

http://www.pcgamer.com/riptide-gp-renegade-offers-stunts-on-water-bikes-out-now/

My hydrojet days are behind me, unfortunately, but I can relive the good old days with Vector Unit's Riptide GP: Renegade, a soggy new racer that's just cropped up on Steam. This latest Riptide game will let you "experience a future of illicit hydrojet racing, where armored riders kick out death-defying stunts over massive waterfalls, dodge cops, and boost across surging waves", and maybe that's just what this world needs at the moment.

SEASON 3 OF GUILD WARS 2'S LIVING WORLD BEGINS

http://www.pcgamer.com/season-3-of-guild-wars-2s-living-world-begins/

The third season of Guild Wars 2's Living World—a free, episodic series that adds new story and other content—has begun, the first episode of which has been detailed over on the official site. Out of the Shadows takes place after—spoiler?—Mordremoth’s death, adding a new environment, the Chaos Isles, which seems to comprise a load of island chunks floating in a mysterious void. There's also a new PvP map that includes an appearance by a spooky ghost ship.

There's more to Brazil than favelas, right? Not according to video games, which continue to set environments in colourful shantytowns watched over by giant statues of Jesus. The latest is the upcoming Favela map for Rainbow Six Siege, which will feature in the Operation Skull Rain DLC, along with two new operators from Brazil. This we've known for 24 hours, but now we can see that map in action, courtesy of a very brief new trailer.

PRISON ARCHITECT 2.0 UPDATE DETAILED IN NEW VIDEO

http://www.pcgamer.com/prison-architect-20-update-detailed-in-new-video/

After years spent making Prison Architect, then updating it pretty much every month after release, Introversion is ready to move on. The icing on the cake (the cake has a file in it, because prison) is a huge new update that revamps the UI, while making changes to the way modding works and adding more, well, just more. Prison Architect will continue to be supported after version 2.0, but the team is finally moving onto pastures new. Specifically, onto one or both of the prototypes the developer recently put to a public vote.

Nothing against my Secret Paladin! That shit brought me up to rank 10^^ If anything Paladin needs even more secrets instead of the garbage ones it currently has. Or maybe some priest secrets? That would be awesome!

I fear it's going to be even worse though. It's highly likely that the next adventure will have something to do with mages as if they aren't OP enough. Though I do hope for a new mechanic.
