SIX YEARS LATER, ODDWORLD: MUNCH'S ODDYSEE IS NO LONGER A BROKEN PORT
http://www.pcgamer.com/six-years-later-oddworld-munchs-oddysee-is-no-longer-a-broken-port/
Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee first received a PC port way back in 2010, and has since troubled sorry purchasers with a variety of game-breaking bugs—some can’t even get it to start. Fixes were promised right after release, and nearly six years later, they’re finally here. The developers built an entirely new port that's been on the Steam beta branch since February, and after five months it's finally taken over the main branch.

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE: OPERATION SKULL RAIN GOES TO BRAZIL FOR TWO NEW OPERATORS
http://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-operation-skull-rain-goes-to-brazil-for-two-new-operators/
The next Rainbow Six Siege expansion is called Operation Skull Rain, which is the sort of title I would've considered seriously bad-ass when I was 12. That minor quibble aside, it sounds like it could be fun: This time, following the chill of Black Ice and the grit of Dust Line, Ubisoft is taking its show to the sweltering cities of Brazil.
TEN MINUTES OF DUAL UNIVERSE GAMEPLAY REVEALED IN NEW VIDEO
http://www.pcgamer.com/ten-minutes-of-dual-universe-gameplay-revealed-in-new-video/
Dual Universe was announced in May as a single-shard sci-fi MMO with a focus on “emergent collective gameplay based around exploration, mining, crafting, trade, politics and warfare.” A trailer released in June for E3 offered a brief look at how that expansive, rather vague description might work out in terms of actual gameplay, and last week developer Novaquark released a longer video that's admittedly less dramatic, but also more specific about what the studio has in mind.
STARTING FROM BATMAN, ALL TELLTALE GAMES WILL SUPPORT MULTIPLAYER
http://www.pcgamer.com/starting-from-batman-all-telltale-games-will-support-multiplayer/
It's common to attract spectators while playing Telltale's narrative-driven adventures, and naturally enough, those spectators like to call the shots as well. So it'd be cool if multiple players could vote on the game's decisions and dialogue trees too, right? That's apparently what is going to happen in all Telltale Games from now on, starting with the forthcoming Batman adaptation, a studio spokesperson said at Comic-Con in San Diego yesterday.
PREY FOR THE GODS SLAYS KICKSTARTER GOAL
http://www.pcgamer.com/prey-for-the-gods-slays-kickstarter-goal/
What is it about giant godlike monsters that makes people want to clamber all over them? Maybe it's the fur (they just look so cuddly), or maybe it's the strange desire to wipe these monsters from the Earth, so that loved ones might resurrect, or an endless Winter might dissipate, saving mankind. The Shadow of the Colossus-inspired Prey for the Gods goes for the second one, which I suppose is a worthwhile reason, and if you've been following its funding campaign you'll be pleased to hear that the game has just reached its Kickstarter goal.
BATTLEZONE 98 REDUX EXPANDS WITH THE RED ODYSSEY
http://www.pcgamer.com/battlezone-98-redux-expands-with-the-red-odyssey/
Battlezone 98 Redux is a new version of, you guessed it, Battlezone, the RTS-FPS mash-up that posited galactic warfare between the USA and its arch-nemesis, itself - sorry, its arch-nemesis, Russia. Now, the remake of that old game has been joined by a remake of its old expansion, The Red Odyssey. This adds two new campaigns set in the Jupiter region, along with a couple of new playable factions: the NSDF Black Dogs and the Chinese Red Army.
TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER GETS PILE OF FREE DLC
http://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-gets-pile-of-free-dlc/
Total War: Warhammer is getting minotaurs courtesy of its Call of the Beastmen expansion, but what about all the loyal customers that don't want to shell out money for the DLC - don't they deserve some extra stuff too? No, not really, but it's nice of developer Creative Assembly to provide some anyway. To accompany the release of the expansion, all players (whether they own the DLC or not) will be getting a new hero and mount, new multiplayer features and maps, an "unlockable lord" for custom or multiplayer battles, and a new A.I.-controlled opposition race.
PLANET COASTER HURTLING TOWARDS STEAM RELEASE
http://www.pcgamer.com/planet-coaster-hurtling-towards-steam-release/
Frontier is making a theme park sim, in case you hadn't noticed: a spiritual successor to its RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Andy got his hands on the early access version back in March, and reckoned that it was "shaping up nicely"; you may have your own opinion, as it's currently possible to buy your way into that early access via the official site.
MOUSEY RPG GHOST OF A TALE HITS EARLY ACCESS
http://www.pcgamer.com/mousey-rpg-ghost-of-a-tale-hits-early-access/
We've been following Ghost of a Tale for a few years now, and if you've seen it you'll understand why. HAVE you seen it? Just look at it, for heaven's sake, it's absolutely gorgeous. For too long GoaT has been a thing we look at rather than one we can actually play, but all that changed yesterday, as that's when the game hit Steam Early Access and GOG.
CIVILIZATION 6 TRAILER OFFERS FIRST LOOK AT ITS TAKE ON FRANCE
http://www.pcgamer.com/civilization-6-trailer-offers-first-look-at-its-take-on-france/
Catherine de Medici is your leader if you choose to play as France in Civilization 6, and as a new trailer reveals, her specialities are related to espionage and mid-game wonders. France is also the only nation able to build châteaus, which is fair enough considering I had to google how to spell the word just now.
Please excuse my bad English.
