SALES/PLAYER COUNTS & DEALS

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sells 2 million copies in 1 day and achieves the 'highest concurrent player count ever recorded for an Assassin's Creed title' on Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/assassins-creed/assassins-creed-black-flag-resynced-sells-2-million-copies-in-1-day-and-achieves-the-highest-concurrent-player-count-ever-recorded-for-an-assassins-creed-title-on-steam/
I gotta hand this one to the suits: I thought gamers might find a $60 price tag on a rehash of a 13-year-old Assassin's Creed game to be a bit much, and apparently I was wrong. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sold more than two million copies in just one day, and has handily surpassed Steam player counts of newer games in the series, including Assassin's Creed Shadows.
"Dash my Buttons... Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has already passed 2 million copies sold!" Ubisoft wrote on X the day after the overhauled Black Flag launched. "Whether you're sailing with us again, or stepping aboard the Jackdaw for the first time: THANK YOU from the bottom of ARR hearts."

Palworld pulled in almost 900,000 players over the weekend, its second-highest peak ever
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/survival-crafting/palworld-pulled-in-almost-900-000-players-over-the-weekend-its-second-highest-peak-ever/
Palworld recently celebrated its launch into 1.0 and out of early access with 27-pages of patch notes and no price hike, and the devs were rewarded with the best turnout they've seen since the game first released into early access way back in January 2024.
A peak of 855,525 concurrent players turned up for the 1.0 release on Steam alone yesterday placing Palworld back up near the top of the Steam charts. It's a massive achievement and one that was properly celebrated, not least by Pocketpair's head of publishing and communications, John "Bucky" Buckley.
"I promise I'll try not to just be posting Steam numbers every day but really, thank you so much, gamers," Buckley said in a social media post. "Obviously, we had high expectations for 1.0 internally, but this is staggering. We really hope you are enjoying your time in Palworld again."
Palworld's all-time peak still sits at 2.1 million, a ridiculous achievement that places it above the likes of Counter Strike 2, Dota 2, and Monster Hunter Wilds. In fact, the only two games that have managed to beat Palworld's all-time player count on Steam are Black Myth: Wukong and PUBG, of course.

Steam has raked in an estimated $11.1 billion gross revenue so far this year, says market analyst—its 'biggest-ever six months'
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/steam-has-raked-in-an-estimated-usd11-1-billion-gross-revenue-so-far-this-year-says-market-analyst-its-biggest-ever-six-months/
It's easy to feel like the videogame industry is an endless tornado of shattered dreams and hellfire, and that's because it is. But it also brings in a lot of money, and our beloved PC gaming space in particular is growing faster than both mobile and console markets. Thursday, a report from Alinea Analytics said Steam is just exiting its biggest six months ever.
"In the first half of 2026, we estimate that games on Steam generated $11.1B in gross revenue, the platform’s highest-ever half-year," wrote Rhys Elliott, Alinea's head of market analysis. "That’s up 14.5% on H1 2025, and up 8% even on the holiday-heavy H2 2025, which is the more remarkable comparison given the back half of the year usually wins on seasonal sales and holiday buys."
The full blog highlights some of the biggest reasons for all this growth: new games are more expensive, friendslop megahits like Meccha Chameleon rake in mountains of cash before you can blink, and third parties like Ubisoft are back on Steam after they tried and failed to escape Gabe's dread labyrinth to play ball with Steam's lessers.
The full list of causes and takeaways is in the blog, but this all follows a very long upward trend: as the report states, Steam's yearly revenue has gone from $5.5 billion in 2017 to roughly $20 billion in 2025. A growing percentage of all those sales is from old games, too: so far, "just 21%" of Steam's 2026 revenue has come from games that released this year, down from 29% in 2024.

MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS

PS5 Emulator SharpEmu Can Now Boot Demon’s Souls Remake
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/ps5-emulator-sharpemu-can-now-boot-demons-souls-remake/
SharpEmu is a new PlayStation 5 emulator currently in its early stages of development. Right now, the emulator can load the eboot.bin of real games, execute native CPU instructions, and partially handle kernel-related functionality. And one of the games it can load is Demon’s Souls Remake.
Now, while this is really impressive, there is still a lot of work left to be done. As its team has stated, several critical components are still missing.
According to its GitHub page, SharpEmu can now load some games and read basic game information, such as the title and version.
The emulator also supports loading system modules (PRX and sys_module) and includes partial support for some kernel functions. In addition, some games can already display video output.
Right now, SharpEmu is designed mainly for Windows. Support for Linux and macOS is planned for the future. For now, the developers are focusing on Windows to make early development and debugging easier.
The PS5 game that can output a real render is Dreaming Sarah. As for Demon’s Souls Remake, SharpEmu is now video loop. Shaders are ready to be converted to SPIR-V/Vulkan. As such, the team is continuing its work on this so that it can further improve overall emulation.
As I said, this PlayStation 5 emulator is in a very early development stage. So, don’t expect to be playing all the PS5 games that have not come out on PC anytime soon. Still, the fact that it can load Demon’s Souls is already impressive. So, who knows? We might be able to play Marvel’s Wolverine or Intergalactic on PC via SharpEmu in a few years.
Those interested can download this PS5 emulator from here and experiment with it.

Grand Theft Auto 4 RTX Remix Path Tracing V1.4.0 Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/grand-theft-auto-4-rtx-remix-path-tracing-v1-4-0-released/
Modder ‘xoxor4d’ has released Update 1.4.0 of his amazing RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod for Grand Theft Auto 4. So, let’s see what this new version brings to the table.
Update 1.4.0 fully integrates the Numos – Atmospheric Sky System to the game. Players can enable it via the F4 menu. For those who don’t know, Numos is a special version that incorporates a physical atmosphere, volumetric clouds, and a new weather system. This version can change the game’s art style. The good news is that this is optional. So, if you don’t like the visual changes it makes, you can stick to the original version.
Moreover, Update 1.4.0 features the latest Remix Runtime, which should help with the CPU Bottleneck. As such, the game should now run a bit faster on your PC. Still, this latest version does not fully fix the CPU optimization issues.
Version 1.4.0 also improves the game’s lighting. The update increases the draw distance for roadside lights and makes volumetric lighting stronger. Emissive surfaces now use vertex colors by default. This lets building lights and other glowing surfaces display the correct color and brightness. The update also changes when lights turn on and off at night so they better match the game’s lighting system. On top of that, it includes several other lighting improvements.
And that’s not all. Thanks to the new Remix Runtime, raindrops will no longer stay on translucent surfaces after it stops raining. The New Remix Runtime fixes an issue where the sun/moon was rendered twice, and it fixes emissive lamp flickering. It also increases the precision of distant light (sun) rotation. As such, you’ll now have a smoother sun shadow movement.
You can go ahead and download the latest version of this RTX Remix Mod from here. I also recommend using the HD Texture Packs we’ve shared for it. You can download them from here, here, and here. At the end of the article, you can also find the complete changelog for Version 1.4.0.

This Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Mod Removes the Yellow Color Filter for More Natural Graphics
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/this-assassins-creed-black-flag-resynced-mod-removes-the-yellow-color-filter-for-more-natural-graphics/
Modder ‘Blu’ has released a Reshade Mod that will remove the yellow color filter from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. As such, PC gamers can experience this AC remake with more natural colors.
(...)
Anyway, those interested can go ahead and download the mod from this link. To install it, you’ll need the latest version of Reshade. According to the modder, only Prod80’s shaders are required to run it.

Palworld 1.0 Mod Enables Ray-Traced Lumen Global Illumination, Dynamic Shadows, Better Draw Distance
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/palworld-1-0-mod-enables-ray-traced-lumen-global-illumination-dynamic-shadows-better-draw-distance/
Modder ‘Fr4nsson’ has released a must-have mod for everyone who plays the final retail version of Palworld. This mod enables ray-traced lumen global illumination, lumen reflections, dynamic shadows, and more. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
This Ultra Graphics Mod for Palworld combines Unreal Engine configuration changes with a UE4SS Lua script that enhances selected in-game light sources. Sunlight, torches, wall-mounted lights, and similar sources produce stronger indirect illumination, improved shadows, and more noticeable lighting in their surroundings.
As I said, the mod enables ray-traced Lumen global illumination. It also allows multiple light sources to cast dynamic shadows (however, as of this moment, not all of them cast shadows).
Furthermore, the mod increases distance-field shadow range from 25,000 to 250,000. It also increases the World Partition default loading range, as well as the overall view distance.
Do note that this mod comes with a pretty big performance hit, though. An AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and 64GB of RAM can run the vanilla game with 152FPS at 4K/Max Settings. With this mod, we get down to 142FPS. And then, with the Engine.ini changes, we get to 92FPS. That’s a 40% performance hit. So, use it only if you have a high-end gaming PC system.
You can go ahead and download the mod from here. You’ll also need UE4SS (you can find a download link for its latest version on its NexusMods page).
>> The article has the instructions to install the mod and edit the .ini file, as well as some comparison screenshots.

Fallout 4 Gets a New Quest Mod With a Dungeon, Armor, and Player Home
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/fallout-4-gets-a-new-quest-mod-with-a-dungeon-armor-and-player-home/
Modding for Charity has released a new quest mod for Fallout 4, featuring voices from Wes Johnson, Jan Johns, and Leer Leary. This new quest is written by Sirick, the lead writer of Sim Settlements 2, and Pig from the Commonwealth Story Expansion Project, and is almost one hour long. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
Modding for Charity has created this mod almost entirely in one weekend for charity. The mod introduces a new dungeon to explore. As a reward, you get access to a player home by Elianora, a new weapon by Neeher, a new piece of power armor from Niero, and Captain-Ultima. Not only that, but you’ll be joined by a brand new companion.
To start the quest, you’ll have to travel to Cambridge and head to the Raider camp near CIT. Then, look for a “damaged Protectron” calling for help. As soon as you get close, the quest should begin.
You can go ahead and download the mod from this link.
>> I may have shared this same mod from a PCGamer article, but I’m not sure. This article has a one hour long video.

A piece of GTA modding history that was considered lost has been rebuilt from scratch and fixed 22 years later
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/grand-theft-auto/a-piece-of-gta-modding-history-that-was-considered-lost-has-been-rebuilt-from-scratch-and-fixed-22-years-later/
Grand Theft Auto 3's Ghost City was my first proper experience of community discovery.
I was too young to fully appreciate game-breaking in the likes of Super Mario and Alex Kidd, so the idea of flying the clipped-wing Dodo aircraft from the runway of Frances International Airport at a very specific angle in order to break the 3D map and wind up in an otherwise inaccessible area—the section which housed the game's opening bank robbery cutscene, floating well beyond the playable map—blew my teenage mind.
In 2004, modder Eliano86 built a bridge that allowed players to more formally access the area with less of the faff, however the project's original hosting platform (gta-downloads.com) has long since disappeared from the interwebs. Now, hobbyist creator Mod_Saver has resurrected that project well over two decades down the line. Enter Ghost City Available.
"For over a decade, this specific alternative bridge mod was considered 'Lost Media'," says Mod_Saver. "The original hosting platform went completely offline, and the original link was dead forever. Even the Wayback Machine couldn't recover the downloadable files. This mod was gone.
"Instead of letting it fade into history, I decided to fully recreate and resurrect it from scratch based on an old 2012 video (GTA 3 - Tips & Tricks - How to Reach Ghost Town by GTA Series Videos) footage. But I didn't just clone it: I fixed its biggest flaw. The original 2004 mod was strictly visual (you would fall straight through the Ghost Town floor). 22 years later, I have finally built the missing collision files (.col) to make the entire island solid and fully playable for the very first time."
Which is pretty beautiful, truth be told. I'm a sucker for game preservation, for unearthing secrets and for the passion that drives each and every hobbyist endeavour—in this case in relation to a game now 25 years old and an OG mod just a few years younger.

The Sinking City 2 Gets Final PC System Requirements
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-sinking-city-2-gets-final-pc-system-requirements/
Frogwares has revealed the final PC system requirements for The Sinking City 2. The game will be using Unreal Engine 5, so let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run it.
The reason I’m calling them final is because Frogwares previously shared some PC specs for the game’s demo, which came out in June 2026. Compared to them, there are a couple of changes. So, let’s dive in.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Monday gaming news, the long part two:

'Valve isn't interested in a nuanced conversation' says indie dev suffering from Steam censorship
https://www.pcgamer.com/software/platforms/valve-isnt-interested-in-a-nuanced-conversation-says-indie-dev-suffering-from-steam-censorship/
Indie creator Robert Yang—who makes good, funny, incandescently homosexual videogames—has an ongoing project. Radiator Forever is a free megabundle/remaster of Yang's experimental, short-form games that includes titles like Hurt Me Plenty (description: "consent, negotiation, spanking, and aftercare"), Succulent ("juicy cheek physics and demonic possession") and Stick Shift ("autoerotic night-driving, manually pleasure a gay car").
I'm sure we both agree that this news piece would have been worth writing just to get a chance to tap out "manually pleasure a gay car," but there's more: in a recent blog post on the experience of putting together Radiator Forever, Yang shone some light on the ongoing fallout from last year's purge of "adult" material from storefronts like Steam and Itch.io, for which right-wing anti-porn group Collective Shout claimed credit after putting pressure on payment processors, as well as on the impact of regional censorship laws like the UK Online Safety Act.
(...)
But even on Steam, these sorts of games continue to run into problems. "Unfortunately Valve has tagged my game as "frequent nudity and sexual content" and now hides it from most Steam users," writes Yang. "Since no one changes their default settings, this amounts to a delisting / shadowban from 99% of the Steam user base.
>> I’m pretty sure that anyone who might be interested in this kind of genre/games will have changed the necessary settings to see it, but who doesn’t like a good old controversy to raise awareness?

Ubisoft tells Black Flag microtransaction critics that they control the DLC they buy
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/assassins-creed/ubisoft-tells-black-flag-microtransaction-critics-that-they-control-the-dlc-they-buy/
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is here and violently colon-less, despite my deep-rooted ancestral urge to fill every gap between those words with dots and dashes, as our forefathers did in the days of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.
But it's not Ubisoft's crimes against grammar that prompted the game to hit Mixed Steam reviews at launch (it's picked up since, and at time of writing is at Mostly Positive). It was the fact that, in typical Ubisoft fashion, the game's store page ripples with microtransactions for outfits, weapons, and the obligatory 'Pay $5 to play less of the $60 game you just bought' map-reveal pack.
(...)
Ubi, perhaps inadvisably, is actually responding to some of these reviews, though. The studio's boilerplate response to a bunch of complaints about the game's microtransactions reads as follows:
We've seen your feedback since launch, and we're reading all of it. Thank you for caring this much about Black Flag Resynced. We want to be clear on one point: the standard edition is the full, complete experience. Every mission, every island, the full story and the complete world are all there, with nothing held back. The additional packs are entirely optional extras for players who want them, never a requirement to enjoy or complete the game.
>> It doesn’t happen often but, in this case, Ubisoft is right.

Indie dev defends criticism of Steam refund abuse amid review bombing of his game: 'It's wrong to refund a game after having fun with it and completing it'
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/indie-dev-defends-criticism-of-steam-refund-abuse-amid-review-bombing-of-his-game-its-wrong-to-refund-a-game-after-having-fun-with-it-and-completing-it/
Developer Mateo Covic, who went viral for complaining that thousands of people had refunded his game after finishing it in less than two hours, says he's not actually unhappy about the number of refunds or money he lost, or even Steam's policy in general—he was merely expressing frustration with players who "bragged about having a fun time with the game and refunding it after completion."
(...)
The message quickly blew up, and not entirely in good ways. Discussions about the obvious loophole in Steam's refund policy and what might be done about it followed, but so did a brief review bombing of Paddle Paddle Paddle, which holds a "very positive" overall rating on Steam, but is "mixed" in recent reviews. Many of those negative reviews aren't aimed at the game but at Covic himself, for suggesting that playing a game to completion and then refunding might be uncool.

Palworld revises some of its most egregious creature designs for its 1.0 release
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/survival-crafting/palworld-revises-some-of-its-most-egregious-creature-designs-for-its-1-0-release/
Today, Palworld left early access with a massive 1.0 patch that brought an avalanche of changes and has drawn hundreds of thousands of new and returning players with the seductive allure of making creatures work in conditions that OSHA would object to if they were people.
Unmentioned in its massive 1.0 changelog, however, are a series of visual reworks the patch made to a handful of Pals that previously bore the most blatant resemblance to preexisting Pokémon designs.

'Surprised there was anyone left to post this': Fans react as The Elder Scrolls Online debuts seasonal content days after hundreds laid off from studio
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/mmo/surprised-there-was-anyone-left-to-post-this-fans-react-as-the-elder-scrolls-online-debuts-seasonal-content-days-after-hundreds-laid-off-from-studio/
For the first time ever, seasonal content is here for The Elder Scrolls Online. Return of the Thieves Guild, its inaugural season, has launched for the long-running MMO, something you'd expect fans would be all abuzz for—if not for the fact that ZeniMax Online Studios has been gutted as part of the mass layoffs at Xbox this week.

After Space Marine 2 'literally changed everything', Saber Interactive has been inundated with offers from major licenses: 'We are in a very fortunate position to turn down more than we can accept'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/action/after-space-marine-2-literally-changed-everything-saber-interactive-has-been-inundated-with-offers-from-major-licenses-we-are-in-a-very-fortunate-position-to-turn-down-more-than-we-can-accept/
It's a miserable time in the upper echelons of game development right now, but in the midst of all the layoffs, cancelled games, and legendary studios being horribly and inexplicably gutted, one company at least is riding high—Saber Interactive.
Previously known for vehicle simulators and middling action games like World War Z, Saber found itself with a monster hit on its hands two years ago, courtesy of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Saber saw colossal success with the license, and according to Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits, the sequel put the studio on the map for other licenses seeking the videogame treatment.
In an interview with The Game Business (via RPS), Willits said that Space Marine 2 "literally changed everything" for Saber's fortunes. "It not only changed the way that the team looks at making games, it changed how people look at us," he explained.

Star Citizen's next update will switch focus to fixing its bug-riddled previous update, with bigger changes shunted to a later patch
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/mmo/star-citizens-next-update-will-switch-focus-to-fixing-its-bug-riddled-previous-update-with-bigger-changes-shunted-to-a-later-patch/
Star Citizen received a major update back in May, one which implemented a "full reset" of its sci-fi universe while also adding a bunch of new features. Unfortunately, Alpha 4.8 also added a lot of bugs to CIG's space MMO. So many, in fact, that the studio has been forced to change course on its next update, postponing plans for several new features and turning it into a gigantic bug-squashing exercise.

College Football 27 to remove microtransactions after player backlash, though EA maintains they were only added to 'give players more choice'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/sports/college-football-27-to-remove-microtransactions-after-player-backlash-though-ea-maintains-they-were-only-added-to-give-players-more-choice/
The latest EA Sports College Football game has finally arrived, which is tantalizing news if you were excited for the series' hotly anticipated comeback a couple years ago. Less tantalizing is the game's reception, which so far has been marred by widespread backlash to its egregious microtransactions. Complaining works: in a post on X yesterday, the official CFB account said those microtransactions are out.

Valve has rewired Counter-Strike 2's bomb to make it more spectacular, but potentially less deadly
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/valve-has-rewired-counter-strike-2s-bomb-to-make-it-more-spectacular-but-potentially-less-deadly/
In Counter-Strike 2, small changes can have huge ramifications. There aren't many games where the addition of volumetric smoke grenades would be a headline feature. But in CS2's hyper tense battles, true 3D smoke cover has game changing consequences.
Now, with the advent of Season 5, Valve has made another tiny-yet-huge change. Put simply, it's changed how the bomb works, giving players more of a chance to survive after it detonates. Valve detailed the changes in a Steam post (via PCGamesN). "Now, when the bomb detonates, an explosive wave of destruction will flow from the bombsite through the map."

Tempest Rising's elusive third faction will get its own singleplayer campaign as a paid expansion, and you can play the demo right now
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/strategy/tempest-risings-elusive-third-faction-will-get-its-own-singleplayer-campaign-as-a-paid-expansion-and-you-can-play-the-demo-right-now/
When the excellent Command & Conquer successor Tempest Rising released last year, it featured three factions battling for supremacy across a war-torn future Earth. But only two of those factions—the GDF and the Tempest Dynasty—were playable with their own singleplayer campaigns. The third faction, the mysterious Veti, were wholly computer controlled.
Developer Slipgate Ironworks has always said the Veti would be made playable at some point. Indeed, it has been testing the faction's multiplayer integration for some time. But the question of whether the Veti would receive any singleplayer missions has remained unanswered, until now. It turns out the Veti will be getting their own campaign, but you will have to pay extra to play it, as it's arriving in the form of an expansion.

Helldivers 2 dev cracks down on 'suspicious super credit activity', though it would help if earning premium currency wasn't so boring to begin with

I'd never considered the prospect that some people might cheat at playing Helldivers 2. But I suppose it's inevitable given some people will find ways to cheat at anything. In this case, rogue Helldivers have found ways to game super credits—the premium currency used to buy Warbonds—to earn them at impossible rates, and it's become such a problem that Arrowhead has implemented new ways to tackle it.

League of Legends' 'classic' mode has a release date, and it isn't just an old version of the game—players will vote on new patches, Old School RuneScape-style
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/moba/league-of-legends-classic-mode-has-a-release-date-and-it-isnt-just-an-old-version-of-the-game-players-will-vote-on-new-patches-old-school-runescape-style/
What's old is new in League of Legends Classic, which was teased a couple of weeks ago in the wake of leak after leak. The full reveal came during yesterday's MSI Finals, where the mode debuted in a showmatch starring pros like Doublelift and Cpt Jack. It's a Frankenstein's monster of different eras with a huge emphasis on season three: a bunch of old kits are back, but some of the art has been modernized and various late additions like ward trinkets have made it in.
More details can be found on the Riot Games website, which reveals that the mode will release later this month on July 29. It names a bunch of old, busted builds poised to make their triumphant return: ability power Master Yi (God help us), pre-rework Sion (God help us), any mage with Deathfire Grasp, and so on.

Last month at the PC Gaming Show we got to bring you a behind-the-scenes look at Total War: Warhammer 40,000 including glimpses of a battle between the Astra Militarum and orks. The video above, revealed at BiliBili World, is a more detailed look at the same battle in the Armageddon Theatre campaign, and looks sick as hell.

Summer Games Done Quick raises $2.4 million for charity, cancels sponsored stream with SNK over Saudi Arabia ties
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/summer-games-done-quick-raises-usd2-4-million-for-charity-cancels-sponsored-stream-with-snk-over-saudi-arabia-ties/
Summer Games Done Quick, the (self-explanatorily) summer version of Games Done Quick, has tallied a lovely $2.4 million in raised money for Doctors Without Borders, a charity that provides medical care around the world to those in need.
The number's been announced via a BlueSky post celebrating the milestone, one which was—and I must emphasise, briefly—undercut by a momentary lapse in sponsorship choice. Yesterday, the organisation announced it'd be doing a speedrunning showcase with SNK, developer of the Metal Slug franchise, for its anniversary.
>> They forgot who owns SNK now, Kind of understandable.

HKC unveils world’s first 31.4-inch RGB MiniLED monitor with 4,788 dimming zones

https://videocardz.com/newz/hkc-unveils-worlds-first-31-4-inch-rgb-miniled-monitor-with-4788-dimming-zones

It's worth noting that those dimming zons aren't "real", as they count each of the RGB mini-LEDs as a zone.

So, with the 32" monitor you have to take those 4788 zones and divide them by 3 (R,G & B), getting 1197 zones, while the 27" monitor with 3456 zones actually has 1152, which is a number other mini-LED monitors also achieve.

Oh, yeah, and there's the fact that, until as far as I know, they only sell in China. Good for them, but not so good for us.

Has AMD fixed its fram pacing issues with the regular 2x frame gen yet? Because I don't see the point in this higher one if they haven't.

Never used frame generation, so don't know if they did even though I could use it now on my rdna3 GPU. I should give it a spin, maybe in Baldur's Gate 3 as that's by far my newest and most demanding title I own - if that game supports it of course.

Congrats for now having access to a better upscaler. Sadly, Frame Gen isn't included in FSR4, it's a separate thing, and Baldur's Gate 3 doesn't support either of them.

Here's the AMD list of FSR4/Redstone supported titles: https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/technologies/fidelityfx/supported-games.html

However, there are several that are on my wishlists at Steam or GOG, so most probably gonna try everything around FSR at some point.
