I tend to agree with Huang, DLSS 5 is in development, people need to relax and see what happens. DLSS 4 is fantastic. |
If Nvidia or any company presents an undercooked product to the public, the onus is on them not the consumer. Presenting something that requires two 5090s to run yet still isn't in a presentable form is a clear sign that it wasn't ready for prime time. A bad first impression, especially in the consumer space, is very hard to over come. Consumer perception lags a decade or more behind actual product quality. People will refuse to buy the best product available because they got a dud from that company that produces it 15 years ago. The subesquent contradictary damage control statements threw gasoline on the situation. Then Jensen topped it off with his "consumers are wrong" statement. Something they teach you NOT to say in Business 101. A quick to way to turn customers off from what you are selling is to tell them "they are wrong." At the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether they are wrong or not. Telling them that makes them not want to part with their money for your products.
