Well, not only them, but SMIC will probably eventually catch up to TSMC, and SMEE or SiCarrier to ASML. They're some 10 years behind the West and Taiwan still, but catching up at a ~ 2x speed.

I fully expect China to eventually flood the market with cheap high-end electronics in the 2030s as it did with solar panels this decade.

Three words: Steam Winter Sale.

You get three free stickers by going through your Discovery Queue. I don't think there's anything else free this time either.

Also, Epic is offering Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel for free. Seems like it's daily free offerings again, so remember to hurry if you wish to get the free stuff. At least I probably won't be posting about it every (if any) time.

I wonder if 12 cores per CCU will be enough, Nova Lake looks insane (on paper, at least).

12-core/24 thread chiplets should mean 24-core/48 thread parts on the mainstream socket, likely in response to Intels ballooning core counts with Core Ultra which currently stands at 24 cores for the i9 285... Which looks better than AMD's 16-core parts currently on paper.
Competition is great with us core-count whores... But we will need faster and more expensive RAM to keep that beast fed.

FP16 support is bizarre... If it's included in the floating point unit on each core, rather than in the SIMD units or a dedicated NPU block or leveraging every I/O die inclusion of RDNA CU's... Double bizarre if that includes packed math support for A.I workloads.
