AMD officially confirms fresh next-gen Zen 6 CPU details

https://overclock3d.net/news/cpu_mainboard/amd-officially-confirms-fresh-next-gen-zen-6-cpu-details/

I wonder if 12 cores per CCU will be enough, Nova Lake looks insane (on paper, at least).

12-core/24 thread chiplets should mean 24-core/48 thread parts on the mainstream socket, likely in response to Intels ballooning core counts with Core Ultra which currently stands at 24 cores for the i9 285... Which looks better than AMD's 16-core parts currently on paper.
Competition is great with us core-count whores... But we will need faster and more expensive RAM to keep that beast fed.

FP16 support is bizarre... If it's included in the floating point unit on each core, rather than in the SIMD units or a dedicated NPU block or leveraging every I/O die inclusion of RDNA CU's... Double bizarre if that includes packed math support for A.I workloads.
