Didn't they raise the price recently due to the inclusion of IGN+? On another forum, there was some discussion about that, and I don't think people seemed happy. Anyway, that hardly sounds free to me if it bumps up the price of whole subscription. Please do correct me if I've misunderstood something, of course.

From what I understood the price of the monthly plan has gone up, but for annual it has remained the same.

Edit:

If someone does subscribe to IGN+ don't forget to cancel the auto-renewal.

Hmm. I did some reading, and supposedly the annual fee is the same with a coupon. I suspect that coupon won't be there for all that long though. Oh, and while I was reading, apparently a ton of unredeemed keys from Humble along the years have expired. It's not that long ago that I redeemed a bunch of my keys and didn't run into any issues, but I bet there's some keys I just can't redeem anymore.

As for me, it's probably OK to still occasionally get a month of Humble Choice, but it's been going downhill since IGN acquired Humble, and it seems like it's continuing on that path.

I have a monthly plan

It shows $11.99 for me

I wonder if its because it shows up as "Classic Monthly" because I was grandfathered in, maybe they dont realize that "Classic Monthly" still charges $12 lol

I'm tempted myself this month I have The Thuamaturge, Evil West and Eiyuden Chronicle on my wishlist so not to bad and says £8.99 for a month for me which equates to $12 I did have a regular sub a long time ago February 2021 was the last I had and I remembered they locked prices of current members when they changed things but I can't imagine you would still be immune to price increases this long after especially after having an inactive sub but it's cool if that's the case.

New STALKER 2 Mod restores two Duty side quests that were cut
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/new-stalker-2-mod-restores-two-duty-side-quests-that-were-cut/
Modder ‘Volucris’ has released a new mod for STALKER 2 that restores two Duty side quests that were cut from the game. This is a simple/small mod that restores what the devs have already created. In other words, it does not add brand new missions or quests.
Going into more details, the mod restores two side quests that players can get from the Duty faction. The mod does not affect or change existing game scripts. Moreover, there isn’t any voice acting for dialogues, or any new animations. Still, I’m certain that some STALKER 2 fans may find them interesting.

Black Myth: Wukong Multiplayer Mod V0.8.1 Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/black-myth-wukong-multiplayer-mod-v0-8-1-released/
As we all know, Black Myth: Wukong is a single-player game. However, it appears that a mod has been released that allows you to play it with your friends.
This Multiplayer Mod is called WukongMP. By using it, you will be able to go on this amazing adventure through Chinese mythology with your friends. You can fight tough bosses together, explore the big world side by side, or even join custom servers with special game changes.
WukongMP was made by ReadyM, the same team that worked on similar multiplayer mods for other big games. It’s built to run smoothly, work fast, and be easy to use. Unlike other multiplayer mods, WukongMP automatically ensures all players have the same game setup. As such, you won’t have to download any extra stuff.
Right now, WukongMP does NOT offer full co-op play. Instead, it supports PVP battles of up to 20 players. You can also find bots and enemies in PVP arenas.
The team plans to offer co-op support in May. This means that, later this month, you might be able to play through the entire game with your friends. However, this will be in alpha form (meaning that there might be some issues and glitches).
What’s also cool here is that it has a Server browser. Thus, you can find and join community servers directly from its launcher. Moreover, you can host your own server.
Earlier today, the team released a new version of WukongMP, Version 0.8.1. This new version makes the launcher available in 8 languages. It also discontinues support for server mod sync in Valheim and Sons of The Forest. Plus, it adds a “log out” button in the top right corner of the Wukong window.
ReadyM has also shared the roadmap for WukongMP. Right now, we are at the fifth top dot. As said, the alpha version for co-op will become available later this month. Once it comes out, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Need for Speed: Underground RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod V0.4.1 Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/need-for-speed-underground-rtx-remix-path-tracing-mod-v0-4-1-released/
Now here is something that completely passed under my radar. Last month, modder ‘alessandro893’ released Version 0.4.1 of his amazing RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod for Need for Speed: Underground. And, finally. With this latest version, NFS: Underground can be enjoyed with Path Tracing.
The reason I say this is because the previous versions of this mod had A LOT of visual issues. From headlights not casting lights/shadows to issues with textures and the environmental lighting, this mod felt like it was in a pre-alpha stage. However, all that changes with Version 0.4.1.
This new version adds support for the DLSS 4 Transformers Model, as well as for Neural Radiance Cache. The mod now offers path-traced volumetrics, as well as volumetric fog and particles. Not only that, but it brings roughness to buildings, and it fixes some issues with the vertex color shaders.
The end result is truly amazing. It’s still not perfect. For instance, there are noticeable ghosting issues with the cars. Still, this is miles beyond what we had previously. And, as I said, the game can now be enjoyed with

A dead Chinese Borderlands MMO is being revived
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/mmo/a-dead-chinese-borderlands-mmo-based-is-being-revived/
In 2015 it was announced that Borderlands Online had been canceled, and a bunch of people asked, "What was Borderlands Online anyway?" That's because it was planned to be a China-only MMO set in the Borderlands universe, with the kind of free-to-play model publishers used to see as a good way to "crack the Asian market" but wouldn't bother with in the west. Things have changed, hey?
Now, modder and dataminer EpicNNG (responsible for Wonderlands Redux, among other things), has dug up a build of Borderlands Online and got the character creator working again so a whole new generation can ask, "What was Borderlands Online anyway?"
Borderlands Online would have cast players as Vault Hunters who crash-land on Pandora, choosing from four character classes: Siren, Soldier, Berserker, and Hunter. It would have featured returning Borderlands NPCs like Claptrap and Dr. Zod, as well as familiar locations like Skag Gully and Tombstone, three PvP modes—last man standing, team vs team, and capture the flag—a gun-crafting system, and guilds.
Trailers made it look like a laggier version of the original Borderlands, but it's still an interesting bit of videogame history to see unearthed, 10 years after it was lost. EpicNNG has already found Counter-Strike map Dust 2 in the Borderlands Online files, though presumably it was just there for testing purposes. Their plan is to get the rest of the game into a playable state, though currently it crashes as soon as you leave the customization screen.

Tales of Seikyu is coming to early access this month, meaning I can finally continue my journey into its enchanting world of dateable yokai

Tales of Seikyu, the fantasy farming simulator set in a world of cheeky yokai, is coming to early access on May 21.
In the announcement post shared to Steam, details were shared on what to expect from the early access version of the game. You'll be able to farm and explore the countryside as you could in the demo, while also mastering three yokai transformations and uncovering a handful of secrets about the playable characters' ancestry. There is a limit to how much you can do though, and you won't be able to progress much further than the first chapter to start.

Bungie announces the next four Destiny 2 expansions, and yes, the second one is literally just Star Wars
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/bungie-announces-the-next-four-destiny-2-expansions-and-yes-the-second-one-is-literally-just-star-wars/
In today's Destiny 2 reveal event, Bungie kicked off the next major 'saga' of the game. It's called the Fate Saga, it'll unfold over multiple years, and it will start on July 15 with the first expansion, The Edge of Fate.
But that was just one of four expansions that Bungie announced today, and it's the second one—due out later this year, on December 2—that will raise the most eyebrows. It's called Renegades, and it's… well, it's Star Wars.

Starbreeze reclaims Payday 3 publishing rights from Plaion, says it will 'significantly accelerate our content development roadmap'

'We didn't have a serious plan': The hardest part of creating Go Wayback, according to Brendan Greene, was just figuring out if it could actually work

"We didn't have a serious plan," creator Brendan Greene says in an interview with Epic Games. "The leadership team I had at the start, up until a year and a half ago, wasn't the right team to lead the studio. They didn't have enough experience making games. I don't think they fully accepted the vision from my side. I was a photographer, graphic designer, and then someone gave me a bunch of money and a studio. I had very little experience, so there's a deep learning curve.

The BioWare we loved is mostly gone, but '2017 is when EA finished digesting' it, says Dragon Age studio veteran
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/dragon-age/the-bioware-we-loved-is-mostly-gone-but-2017-is-when-ea-finished-digesting-it-says-dragon-age-studio-veteran/
With the somewhat-middling debut of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a game I sort of blandly enjoyed for 60 hours but certainly never in a 'this is a great Dragon Age' way, as well as the solemn layoffs following its muted fanfare, I think we can pretty much light a candle for the whole series. As well as the BioWare we knew and loved, mind. As PC Gamer's Fraser Brown puts it "The Veilguard was the very shiny, very pretty nail in the coffin."
It was the last real shot the studio had at convincing anybody it still had the juice after the stumbling of Mass Effect: Andromeda and the trainwreck of Anthem, but some of us were still holding out hope. Mark Darrah, a studio vet who worked there for over 20 years before leaving the studio in 2020, has revealed that the bones of BioWare were actually being Weekend at Bernie's-d for much longer than that.

https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fallout/fallout-76s-spring-limited-time-event-the-big-bloom-has-begun-which-means-pollen-allergies-and-flower-crowns/
The Big Bloom, Fallout 76's spring limited-time event, is underway, which means there are new monsters for you to take on and rewards to win. The seasonal event will be happening until May 20, so there'll be plenty of time to frolic through the meadows, killing the most heinous mutated insects I've ever seen.

Anyway, the 9070GRE seems to be an ok card, but it needs to be cheaper to challenge Nvidia.

Asetek CPU Cooler Patent Expiry: Impacts on All-in-One Water Cooling Designs
https://www.guru3d.com/story/asetek-cpu-cooler-patent-expiry-impacts-on-allinone-water-cooling-designs/
Asetek’s main patent on pump-in-cold-plate CPU coolers lapsed on May 6, 2025. For the past 20 years, this patent shaped how most AIO water coolers were built—forcing pump, cooling block, and radiator to share a single housing. Now that it’s expired, cooler designers can try fresh layouts without worrying about lawsuits. Before now, Asetek kept a tight grip on the pump-in-cold-plate idea, suing anyone who came too close. I think this Computex may be too close in time to already see any new designs, but the AIO cooler market may be about to change.
