Over 30% IPC improvements would be super dope, hopefully they can pull that off.

If power consumption doesn't sharply increase with that, then Intel will be in dire straits if AMD pulls that off. Not so much due to desktops, but because Intel would then get destroyed in laptops and servers, where they already get pushed around badly...

Yeah, if they can actually pull off 30%+ on IPC gains, the leap from Zen 4 to Zen 5 will be the biggest leap in IPC since Excavator to Zen 1:

Excavator to Zen 1- 52% IPC gain

Zen 1 to Zen 2- 16% IPC gain

Zen 2 to to Zen 3- 19% IPC gain

Zen 3 to Zen 4- 13% IPC gain

While I'd love for this to be true, the chances are between none to zero.

Last year we got the leak that the IPC increase would be roughly 10-15% and, while that came from Moore's Law is Dead, who has the same credibility of Red Gaming Tech (both terrible), at least he had what appeared to be an official slide to confirm it:

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/alleged-amd-zen-5-specs-leak-twice-the-cores-15-increased-ipc-over-ryzen-7000 (Zen5 is Nirvana/Eldora)

So, in this case, I¡d actually believe MLID's leak over this new one.

I hope they can at least top the 19% IPC increase from Zen 2 to Zen 3. Red Gaming Tech is saying he has 2 sources here according to the article, the first told him the 30%+, while the other source offered a more conservative estimate of "higher than Zen 2 to Zen 3", so higher than 19%. Out of the 3 sources here, MLID and Red Gaming Tech's 2 supposed sources, I hope we can at least get that middle of the road 19%+ increase, only 10-15% would be somewhat disappointing.

Well, the end products could offer more than that 15%, after all the slide does say 10-15%+, but I wouldn't put my hopes on it.

Also, and I admit that I haven't watched the video so I don't know from where do those sources get their numbers, the problem with the rumors/leaks is that sometimes they don't talk about a general performance uplift, but rather one set of tasks that see those huge gains. Zen5 chould/should come with an updated iGPU that would bring big improvements to encoding, even if not many people will find it useful as they'll likely have a proper GPU to take care of that. Or maybe it's about the AI capabilities of Zen5.

In any case, I'd wait until we get more leaks from other sources before we start jumping to early conclusions.

The solution to space junk might be space lasers because lasers solve everything obviously
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-solution-to-space-junk-might-be-space-lasers-because-lasers-solve-everything-obviously/
As any child running around the park holding a plastic raygun will tell you, most issues can be resolved by the correct application of a suitable amount of lasers, preferably of the pew-pew variety. However, one startup is aiming to solve the very real problem of orbital debris by using honest-to-goodness satellite mounted space lasers, which may end up proving once and for all that our childhood instincts were correct.

The satellites are planned to be operated by Orbital Lasers, a startup backed by Japanese satellite operator SKY Perfect JSAT, and have been jointly designed by the operator in collaboration with the Riken research institute (via The Register). The plan is to use a technique called laser ablation to emit a powerful laser beam that vaporises the surface of a targeted piece of debris, and it's the impulse emitted from this vaporisation that can not only prevent it from rotating in its current trajectory, but also be used to decelerate it, causing it to fall into Earth's atmosphere and burn up.

A bunch of powerful lasers pointing to Earth? What could go wrong?

Looks like Granblue Fantasy relink was a massive success on steam.
