Over 30% IPC improvements would be super dope, hopefully they can pull that off. 

If power consumption doesn't sharply increase with that, then Intel will be in dire straits if AMD pulls that off. Not so much due to desktops, but because Intel would then get destroyed in laptops and servers, where they already get pushed around badly...

Yeah, if they can actually pull off 30%+ on IPC gains, the leap from Zen 4 to Zen 5 will be the biggest leap in IPC since Excavator to Zen 1:

Excavator to Zen 1- 52% IPC gain

Zen 1 to Zen 2- 16% IPC gain

Zen 2 to to Zen 3- 19% IPC gain

Zen 3 to Zen 4- 13% IPC gain
