Almost feels like GPU DRM lol. Gotta sell them new shiny GPU's somehow. But yeah turning off RSR would be a wise choice if FSR isn't implemented. Didn't realise that it also uses VRS, ew. I guess its fine if you tune it though as its bit less hassle messing with in option game menus.

Tbf Nvidia did this already with DLSS 3 and RT since the 2000 series (I know about the whole RT cores gig, but still), and since Nvidia hasn't gotten much backlash if any over 3 being exclusive to their latest, AMD is pretty much just going to follow the leader.

At this point I'm just going to expect every other gen to come with some exclusive feature in order to sell the cards at a higher price point.

Modders ‘doodlez’ and ‘alandtse’ have released a must-have mod for Skyrim Special Edition that enables unlimited dynamic light sources. Not only that, but Skyrim now uses a custom clustered shading implementation for high-performance, similar to that used in Starfield.
What’s also amazing here is that the Light Limit Fix Mod implements contact shadows for all lights. It also adds shadows for first-person torches and light spells. The mod also has a high-performance lighting system for the grass.

Runescape developer shutters sci-fi looter-shooter and issues refunds across the board
https://www.pcgamer.com/runescape-developer-shutters-sci-fi-looter-shooter-and-issues-refunds-across-the-board/
Publisher and Runescape developer Jagex is calling time on Space Punks, a 2021 co-op looter shooter developed by Polish studio Flying Wild Hog. The game has been de-listed on the Epic Game Store, players who've made in-game purchases are to be refunded, and existing accounts will remain active until the servers are closed on November 6.

Armored Core 6 PvP evolves into its true form as players drop their weapons and fistfight to the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance soundtrack
https://www.pcgamer.com/armored-core-6-pvp-evolves-into-its-true-form-as-players-drop-their-weapons-and-fistfight-to-the-metal-gear-rising-revengeance-soundtrack/
Armored Core 6 players haven't taken long to strip back the hood and get tinkering with FromSoftware's mech extravaganza, but a new trend in PvP really does leave everything on the table. PvP in AC6 is usually a matter of giant mechs circling and zooming around each other from a distance as near-endless amounts of ordnance flies both ways: it's fast, explosive, and a ton of fun.
But what if, and hear me out, the mechs just punched each other instead?

Starfield lets you be a total faction flip-flopper, so don't worry about pissing anyone off
https://www.pcgamer.com/starfield-lets-you-be-a-total-faction-flip-flopper-so-dont-worry-about-pissing-anyone-off/
As I wrapped up the Freestar Rangers questline in Starfield, a system-hopping detective romp that I thoroughly recommend to players starting out, my eyes drifted to the United Colonies Vanguard quest I'd neglected starting two dozen hours earlier. Would the Vanguard still want my company after I'd climbed the ranks of their biggest competition? Surely they'd at least give me the stink eye as I approached the help desk dressed in full Freestar cowboy getup, I thought.
Nope. The Vanguard rep didn't give a second thought to my Ranger badge, and even brushed off the brash comments of my companion, and noted UC hater, Sam Coe. In fact, the game treated me as if my history was a blank slate, and it seems like the same goes for the rest of the Starfield factions. Starfield will let you join every team without any repercussions, so don't worry about pissing them off.

They found him: Bethesda's most prolific voice actor returns in Starfield
https://www.pcgamer.com/they-found-him-bethesdas-most-prolific-voice-actor-returns-in-starfield/
Bethesda loves to work with the set of voice actors in its stable, a well-tamed team of thoroughbreds who players get pretty familiar with over the course of the hundreds of hours we spend in these RPGs. (...)
Wes Johnson is the most prolific Bethesda voice actor, going all the way back to Morrowind where he played three of the Daedric Princes. (...)
Eagle-eared players have found Johnson in Starfield as well, where he plays Ron Hope, the CEO of HopeTech, who can send you on a mission that involves tracking down a thief. He's definitely in Imperial City Guard mode here rather than flip-flopping between weird Irish and Scottish accents like he does for Sheogorath, but maybe he's saving that up for The Elder Scrolls 6. Here's how to find him for yourself in Starfield.

She made her bid for the position with a bizarre Diablo 4 marketing campaign that involved her eulogising player's deaths. Now, she's stepping things up by providing her voice and likeness to Outworld vampire Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1. Look, I can't fault anyone for finding their niche.

Someone should ask Todd how does one upgrade from a 4090 since there is nothing above that. What a shat answer.

Least Rift Apart is getting tons of patches as is the trend of a lot of modern games. Ship in a bad state, fix game after 3-4 months of patching.

With everyone and their grandmother going crazy about AI, there's not much else Lisa Su can say without tanking the stock value of AMD. It's shitty, but this doesn't have to mean that they'll forget other customers. In fact, AMD is now putting AI processors into their chips, so technically she could claim they're already focusing on it...

It makes sense because we have seen Nvidia responding to stiff competition various times in the past. When Turing launched for example and had shit prices, you had AMD come out with RDNA 1 and Nvidia responded by releasing their Super line at more competitive prices. Contrary to what people may think after Nvidia is making bank on Ai, Nvidia does not want to lose their market position in the consumer space so if there is stiff competition, they will respond as they always have. It's just when there is no competition, they won't go out of their way to release great value products. 4060 Ti 16GB also dropping to $450 or less.

And yea, I do that meme for when Jensen says it as well.

Well, we've talked about it several times here, and it was the best and most logical choice for Nintendo, which is why we weren't completely sure they'd do it.

The only question now is what kind of SoC has Nvidia prepared for Nintendo, because none of their last Tegra products would be suitable for a small and low power device like a portable console.
