Wow!
Impressive indeed.
But that's not easy on the hardware side, 13990K + RTX4090, so it will take a while before we see something like this in a game.
Please excuse my bad English.

I don't think the impressive part is the one that requires such hardware. It definitely looks impressive as well, but the part that really impresses me personally is the procedural generation. That could be absolutely huge, depending on its limitations.
Oh, you're absolutely correct about that, Developers may/will find it easier to create the environments and worlds of the games thanks to those techs.
But that level of detail (terrain, vegetation, light, particles like dirt, etc.) won't be used on in any mainstream games for a while.
Please excuse my bad English.

As interesting and pretty as the UE5 presentation was, I'd be really impressed if they showed off shader compilation improvements

Source 2 is now 8 years old... Seeing the Counter Strike 2 reveal "showcasing" the engine was visually underwhelming in my opinion.
Valve needs to iterate it's engine technology far more rapidly and far more significantly, it's a generation behind Unreal.

A lot of the new Unreal footage sure looks great. Lords of the Fallen looks surprisingly pretty. I wonder how big an impact the Unreal Editor is going to have. Doesn't seem to have generated any buzz on this site but I think it has lots of potential if Epic doesn't get too carried away on speculative nonsense like Zuck did.

Thinking of getting an ITX case like the Silverstone SG13 and moving my current pc into that.
Been fiddling around with settings to create a low wattage gaming machine. Managed to drop my full system power draw from 180w to 120w in timespy for only a 10% drop in performance. CPU and GPU are both far more efficient at a lower wattage.

Dwarf Fortress is a huge success story on Steam. It sold nearly 500,000 copies less than a month after it debuted on the storefront—which, for the record, happened more than 16 years after its initial standalone release—earning its two-man development team more than $7.2 million in revenue. And it's still shifting units: Dwarf Fortress co-creator Tarn Adams told us during a GDC chat that the total figure has now climbed to roughly 630,000 copies sold on Steam.

Unreal's new MetaHuman Animator can turn an iPhone video into a scarily accurate game animation in three minutes

Yesterday's State of Unreal 2023 presentation was rather overshadowed by a certain surprise game announcement, but Epic showed off some genuinely amazing tech coming to Unreal Engine 5 in the near future. We got to see impressive new procedural environment tools, Lords of the Fallen showing off the engine's enhancements to character creation and realistic armour and clothing, and more. But what really blew my socks off was the MetaHuman Animator stage demo.

Grand Theft Auto 5 gets a Harry Potter/Hogwarts Legacy Mod
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/grand-theft-auto-5-gets-a-harry-potter-hogwarts-legacy-mod/
Talented modder ‘JulioNIB’ is currently working on an amazing Harry Potter/Hogwarts Legacy Mod for Grand Theft Auto 5. This mod will allow you to cast basic spells from the Harry Potter franchise, including Incendio, Lumos and Confringo.
Furthermore, the mod will introduce a flying broom that players can use to fly around. And yes, you’ll be able to cast spells while flying around.
Unfortunately, this first beta version is behind a Patreon wall. My guess is that JulioNIB will release a public version later in the future. However, there is currently no ETA on when this will happen.
