4060Ti has apparently been leaked, and it's coming with less shaders (or Cuda Cores if you want) than the 3060Ti, with just 4352 shaders compared to 4864 on the 3060Ti. Also, it apparently won't come out before June 2023. Oh, and the prospective MSRP would be $500, same as the 3070 and 100 more than the 3060Ti:

https://www.hardwaretimes.com/nvidia-rtx-4060-ti-launching-no-sooner-than-ending-june-2023-rtx-4090-is-3-6x-faster-rumor/

Looks like NVidia wants to push their customers to buy a 4090 by making the whole rest of the stack worthless.

Dang sounds like the entire Lovelace lineup gonna be pretty terrible value. One thing to note is while the 4060 Ti does have less shaders than a 3060 Ti, because of it's big clock speed advantage along with increased L2 cache and being on TSMC, it will still be faster. Likely it will be around 3070 performance with lower power draw and DLSS 3 support which is still pretty horrid mind you for that price. Nvidia this gen basically went full greed mode as they know AMD will do little to counteract them other than price their products accordingly instead of actually competing.

This is certainly sounding like a skip gen outside of 4090 buyers.

Intel Meteor Lake-S Desktop CPUs Rumored To Be Cancelled, LGA 1851 Might Support Trio of Core Families

If Intel does start doing 3 generations, then I'll be a lot more interested in their CPU line than being a bit iffy for my next build. We will see though as I won't be upgrading my CPUs still at least 2024 or later.

I'm ok with Intel cancelling those Desktop processors. Having only 6 performance cores doesn't feel right for high end parts.

If the new socket gets more support than usual from Intel, that will be great for everyone. Let's hope it's true.

And well, the 13500 seems like an excellent CPU, especially unlocked (is it me or Intel leaving that CPU unlocked feels weird, too good to be true?). In any case, great CPU and, unlike the 13400 we talked about some days ago, the price increase of this one isn't as bad. It will put the 13600K in troubles.

Please excuse my bad English.

I must say, after playing on my Steam Deck for several hours, the fan on this thing is hella quiet which is a stark contrast to the launch version that I got. The launch one was so loud and high pitched that I could hear the steam decks fan over my gaming laptops. Now it's very quiet and hardly noticeable even under heavy loads. Well done Valve and I am glad that they revised it.

I think those Meteor Lake that are still left will replace the Alder Lake CPUs in the current i5 and below.

So basically every gen is just a half-step right now on Desktops.

This pretty much confirms that I'm really gonna have to go for a 3080 or just settle for that one less X from AMD (pun intended).

Just hard to imagine an entire gen's worth of stack being utterly useless to anyone from last gen or those looking for good gains on the mid side of things. Surely this will bite Nvidia in the ass 2 yrs from now, because if it doesn't, we are proper screwed.

Got an early christmas gift

Time to see how much it has improved since I originally got it during launch and sold it due to a lot of issues. It is the 64GB (I didn't choose it) but I did put in my 512GB microsd card in there and will eventually replace it with a better SSD.

Congrats dude, and happy xmas to everyone .

Yea it's ironically what Nvidia wants but at this point, there isn't exactly an alternative that's a good value. It's not like a 3080 or 6800XTs are bad cards and both of them will serve you quite well for many years to come. I think if you can find a 6800XT for $300-$400 less than 3080s which I have seen happen, they would be good cards to bite into. Otherwise a 3080 12GB model will also serve you will as you get a lot of Nvidia goodies.
