You may find this gif being choppy but that's the experience you get with many of the switch cloud games in the video.

Looks horrible. Even worse than most other competitors and 720p/30FPS max with high macro-blocking. Yikes, that's going to look so bad when blown up on a big TV. When John says its like watching a bad stream instead of playing the game.. pretty much sums up my experience with cloud gaming so far.

Watching this does make me think that the Switch is in dire need of an upgrade. I don't really understand why people don't want a Switch successor any time soon. Even Nintendo's first party are reaching the limits on whats possible on the hardware.

Probably cause they want to brag about it's sales. Or deep within our hearts, we know that Nintendo has the potential to make an awful console after making something fantastic lol.

True lol. I just hope Switch 2 (or whatever its going to be called) is at least a big jump from their current console so it can at least handle ports from current games.

Would smh if it ends up being weaker than Valves Steam Deck.

Atari Combines NFTs with Lootboxes for its 50th Anniversary
https://gamerant.com/atari-lootbox-nfts/
Atari has made gaming history many times in the last half a century, and to celebrate this momentous occasion it has announced a new system that combines lootboxes with NFTs. The controversial decision is set to combine the Metaverse with "giftable" artwork celebrating Atari titles released over the last 50 years.
>>Just a reminder that this is not the same Atari that made the consoles.

Unofficial Minecraft NFT game 'Blockverse' disappears with more than $1M
https://www.pcgamer.com/unofficial-minecraft-nft-game-blockverse-disappears-with-more-than-dollar1m/
Another day, another NFT rug pull, this one purportedly perpetrated earlier this week by Blockverse, "an on-chain Ethereum NFT that enables a unique P2E on Minecraft like no other"—essentially a play-to-earn PvP Minecraft server, with access restricted to those who owned a relevant token. Enthusiasm for Blockverse was high—the initial supply of 10,000 NFTs, priced at 0.05ETH (currently $124) each, reportedly sold out in less than eight minutes—but just a couple days later, the project's creators deleted their website, Discord server, and game server, and disappeared with the money.

Blizzard's survival game has been in development for almost 5 years
https://www.pcgamer.com/blizzards-survival-game-has-been-in-development-for-almost-5-years/Blizzard clearly isn't ready to share many details about its upcoming survival game, because the only title for the game it's given us is "Unannounced Survival Game." Enigmatic! The non-announcement has at least allowed current and ex-Blizzard developers to speak openly about their involvement, and based on their comments, we've learned that: A) people with knowledge of the project are pretty hyped about it, and B) it's been in some form of development for more than four-and-a-half years.

Evil Dead: The Game Delayed
https://gamerant.com/evil-dead-game-release-date-delayed/
In late 2020, at The Game Awards, developer Saber Interactive revealed Evil Dead: The Game, an asymmetric multiplayer horror game inspired by titles like Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th: The Game. Evil Dead: The Game has since confirmed that Ash Williams actor Bruce Campbell will be included in the game, as well as many of the series' original cast. Yet as Evil Dead: The Game's release window approached, multiple times, the game has been delayed -- and it appears it's doing so once more.

Following an investigation by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority, Microsoft has said it will make changes to its Game Pass program that will make it easier for subscribers to cancel the service, and will stop taking payments for subscriptions that go dormant.
>>These changes will be applied internationally.

Intel's $1.2B fine for antitrust, anti-AMD practises has been overturned in Europe
https://www.pcgamer.com/intels-dollar12b-fine-for-antitrust-anti-amd-practises-has-been-overturned-in-europe/
After a 13 year battle, Intel has finally won out against a €1.06 billion ($1.2 billion) fine, over apparently serving anticompetitive discounts to it's manufacturers, giving them an unfair advantage against long-time CPU rivals, AMD.

It may not be the same as the console one, but neither are any good.

Almost five years in the making and they're starting to hire people now? Either they've scrapped most of it several times, which is not a good sign, or the people excited about it are only excited about the idea behind that game.

In any case, I'd be cautious about this game. Just in case.

OK, now I kind of miss the days when the worst thing about games was milking via DLC and DRM. Now it's all cryptocurrencies and NFTs, and it's getting quite annoying to read about them every day (because they're bad).

I'm also tired of NFTs. Sometimes I feel like stop posting news about them, but then I remember that it's good to know who's on board and with which games, so we can avoid them.

Nvidia RTX 3050 Review: Entry-Level Ray Tracing GPU Needs More Performance

As expected, better than 6500XT but unfortunately, worse than 2060 but priced similar to a 2060 in retail but more so around $500sh in "Street" price. If it was normal GPU market, this thing would have probably costed $150 and could have been fap worthy. But maybe one day.

Also looks like 343 hasn't fixed any of the issues that DF mentioned to them on the PC version of Halo Infinite. Maybe DF will do a rant video one of these days like they did one with Capcom and RE. Hopefully now that MS has bought more studios, they can give Halo to someone else that is more competent. Even Activision does better porting for their PC titles than 343.

Intel’s Raja Koduri Wants To Get Millions of Arc GPUs Into The Hands of PC Gamers Every Year

You'd need to be very optimistic to really think that a 3050 would be powerful enough for ray tracing. Maybe with the next architecture if all comes well, but we'll see.

And if Raja/Intel want to see us with their cards, maybe they should start by, I don't know, f*cking launch them already?!
