^Times change, and it's usually not for the better.

Anyway, I don't know how long it's been up, but Noctua has a page for their ASUS collaboration and they make some claims about how the card perform in terms of cooling and noise:

Not much of an improvement in the temps. when the fans are set to mid or high, but the card should be a lot quieter.

That's a huge difference in noise levels. 2x 120MM vs 3x 92mm you can see that having an additional smaller fan and needing to ramp up much higher to match the performance of the Noctua. I'm surprised no other GPU manufactures have really looked into using larger fans, most capping out at 100mm.

Hopefully others will use this kind of design. Maybe with lower profile fans because that 3070 is thicc.

I really wish Noctua made a custom casing for multiple GPU cards, because I'm really looking for a decent one for my 1080ti (Middle of the 3 fans has given up and my temps are starting to rise as a result, with the middle fan randomly kicking in at times and making a horrible racket as a result).

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

That Noise level difference is quite large, I'm guessing that's the whole point of Noctua edition.

Resident Evil Village demake turns Castle Dimitrescu into Castlevania
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/resident-evil-village-demake-castlevania/
For lots of players, the opening few hours of Resident Evil Village are the highlight of the whole experience. Dodging Lady Dimitrescu as you wander her labyrinthine castle and fend off the mutated prisoners hiding in the dungeon is some of the best Resident Evil in the last decade. Go figure, a giant castle run by vampires reminded someone of another Japanese game's first level, Castlevania. A developer named OcO created a 2D "demake" that turns Castle Dimitrescu into an homage to Dracula's original home, as rendered in the original 1986 action-platformer.
On "Residentvania's" itch.io page, OcO notes that development took two months, and their work on all the custom pixel art assets really shows. As a 2D version of Village's favorite wife guy Ethan Winters, you'll make your way through the dilapidated town, past the Duke and his merchant cart, and into a drafty Castle Dimitrescu filled with both mutated servants and werewolves. The only thing I can really complain about is that all the audio is from a free sound library rather than something chiptune-based like the NES Castlevania provided.

Super Mario Sunshine mod adds new worlds, story, and an enemy cut from the original
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/super-mario-eclipse-mod/
A group of modders have released the first major demo for Super Mario Eclipse, a fan remake and expansion of the original Super Mario Sunshine.
Level Select, the mod team in question, describes Eclipse as "part beta restoration, part enhancement, part original mod, and all fan service", with new story content. The full game plans to include new missions, fully custom worlds, secret challenge courses, and an interconnected Isle Delfino map. They're also adding new playable characters like Luigi and Shadow Mario, plus new mechanics like super jumps and a magic paintbrush.
>> Nintendo won't be happy.

Breathe through facehuggers and nom on glowing worms in this new sci-fi survival sim
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/breathe-through-facehuggers-and-nom-on-glowing-worms-in-this-new-sci-fi-survival-sim/
Life is good in the distant future. Humanity has conquered the cosmos—we stride betwixt the stars like gods! Until our ride suffers a catastrophic blowout, that is, at which point you go screaming into a flat spin at about Mach 2 and all bets are off.
The good news is that you are not dead. The bad news is that you didn't pick the friendliest world in the universe to be stranded on. That's the setup in Lost Away, a sci-fi survival game set on a beautiful yet decidedly hostile alien planet announced today by Polish indie publisher S2 Games.

Smack up adorable claymation critters in an alien burger factory with Bonky
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/smack-up-adorable-claymation-critters-in-an-alien-burger-factory-with-bonky/
We've all been there. You're hanging with your buds over a campfire, when suddenly an alien interrupts the show while your back is turned. Suddenly, you find yourself storming a burger factory and beating up cats to uncover an extra-terrestrial conspiracy.
So goes The Ballad of Bonky, a stunning arena brawler by developers Guy Unger and Cobcris. Surfacing with a demo during Steam Next Fest, Bonky's arcade brawling is a joy to look at—worlds and characters carefully sculpted from models, popping out of the screen with cartoon flair.

Far Cry 6 secret trailer teases something involving armored tigers
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/far-cry-6-qr-code-teaser/
Ahead of Far Cry 6's official launch, some content creators have discovered a secret in-game trailer that appears to be teasing something involving armored tigers and possibly other references to Far Cry series villains.

If only this Rocket League trailer were for a new game instead of a new car
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/if-only-this-rocket-league-trailer-were-for-a-new-game-instead-of-a-new-car/
Sometimes, the trailer is better than the thing the trailer is promoting. In the video embedded above, an Aston Martin Valhalla supercar races through the streets of London chasing a giant bouncing ball, and then switches on its rocket engines—which can't be great for the hybrid's fuel efficiency—and flies over the Westminster Bridge. It looks like Rocket League poured into the mold of classic Rockstar Games racer Midnight Club.

New World's first post-launch update doesn't include character transfer, but plenty of bug fixes
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/new-worlds-first-post-launch-update-doesnt-include-character-transfer-but-plenty-of-bug-fixes/
Patch notes for the first New World update since its launch are here, and while the much-demanded option to transfer characters across servers isn't ready yet, according to the blog post, the groundwork for it has been laid and "you may see elements of that work in the in-game store." Amazon says more information on how the feature works will be available "later this week when we release server transfers."

Rockstar finally puts Agent to rest
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/rockstar-finally-puts-agent-to-rest/
We all knew it wasn't happening but Rockstar has put the final nail in the coffin of Agent: the game has been listed on Rockstar's official site since announcement but has now, like a troublesome contact, simply disappeared. An open-world spy game first spoken of in 2007 before being announced in 2009 as a Playstation 3 exclusive, Agent was an ongoing and fairly high-profile project—Sony execs continued to face questions about it for years—but the news dried up in the early 2010s.

New World's success has Amazon CEO convinced games could be the company's largest entertainment sector
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/new-worlds-success-has-amazon-ceo-convinced-games-could-be-the-companys-largest-entertainment-sector/
Amazon's colonial-flavoured MMO New World seems to have done well for the tech giant—well enough that CEO Andy Jassy now believes games could well outpace Amazon's efforts in music, movies and television.

Amazon says 'New World is safe to play' despite anecdotal reports of bricked GPUs
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/amazon-says-new-world-is-safe-to-play/
We've been reporting on the reportedly graphics card bricking antics of Amazon's New World, an MMO that's been dividing the PC Gamer team and hate-played to wolf death by our Fraser, since it first broke cover in closed beta. Now it's out for reals and there are still reports that players of New World are inding their hardware irrevocably b0rked, blaming the game for their tech failures.
Amazon, for its part, is convinced any hardware that is falling over has nothing to do with its game, echoing its same stance around the closed beta.

Twitch megaleak reveals secret Steam competitor codenamed Vapour
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/twitch-megaleak-reveals-secret-steam-competitor-codenamed-vapour/
Twitch has been compromised in an enormous data leak, which includes the site's source code, several unannounced and unreleased projects, and information such as how much individual streamers are being paid. The company has yet to make any official comment but, regardless, this is a hack on a simply catastrophic scale.
Among the unannounced projects included is software codenamed Vapour or Vapor. This appears to be a humorous title for what is intended to eventually be a competitor to Steam. Essentially: imagine just buying and having your games library on Twitch, with all of Twitch's features.

Teardown's free 'Part 2' update goes full Garry's Mod
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/teardowns-free-part-2-update-goes-full-garrys-mod/
Admittedly, that headline's a little misleading. With a Steam Workshop full of new maps to tear apart and new tools to break them with, Teardown's voxel sandbox is already the next Garry's Mod. But over the last week, developer Dennis Gustaffson has been tweeting a few more toys that are set to bring more delightful physics chaos to Teardown.

Apparently, it's not just the fans, but the whole cooler. And yeah, hopefully that will show the way for other cards in the future.

Indeed. After all, if Noctua is known for something is for making quiet products.

GTA VI? Dude! You're way ahead of time. Given how well it still sells, that GTA Online is so popular that they're bringing it to the newer consoles and that they're also working on the online part of RDR2, I doubt we'll hear anything about a new GTA in at least a couple more years.

Nah. It was very hard to have any faith in that game when they never showed anything about it. It's like they took Sony's money and run away with it.
