Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

You what, I should have included my Display too.

It's a single display but it's a 34 inch ultrawide with a resolution of 3440 x 1440p 120hz G-sync from Alienware.

Even more 3s!

More Navi leaks this time AiB - ASUS ROG STRIX Radeon RX 6800 XT clocking in at >2.5Ghz with 289W TGP

Looks like these cards are going to be darn good at overclocking.

Nvidia cards on TSMC are gonna be a beast.

When you use a high refresh rate display you actually do become "accustomed" to the higher refresh rate... It's only when you go back to a 60hz device you go "fuck me". - It feels laggy and clunky by comparison.

Pretty much what happens to me when I revert to 30fps, which I've had to do recently as my graphics card died.

Fortunately I've gotten used to 30. But I am looking forward to going back to 2160p 60fps whenever I can get a 3070.

Maybe that's the card we saw with a boost clock of 2577MHz.

Also, it's worth mentioning another two points of the article:

  • The drivers had issues that resulted in clock speeds that aren't consistent. Those issues should be fixed by the time the cards launch.
  • Those 289W are NOT for the whole card, just the GPU. The final number is much higher than that as the capture from IGOR's Lab shows:

That said, there's also a 255W variant, so maybe the one with the higher consumption is just for heavy overclocking, like the 3080 cards with a 420W power limit.

Talking about Nvidia, the reviewer's guide for the RTX 3070 has been leaked:

Faster than a 2080Ti in every game except Control with RTX and DOOM Eternal Borderlands 3.
