Rumored Price for Big Navi is $549.

Well, duh. You gotta aggressively undercut the price if you aggressively undercut the performance and features :P

This is the leak I believe in:

To expand on that:

Navi21: 384-bit bus, 12/24GB Gddr6 Vram, 80CU, 505mm2
Navi22: 256-bit bus, 8/16GB Gddr6 Vram, 60CU, 360mm2
Navi23: 192-bit bus, 6GB Gddr6 Vram, 40CU, 240mm2

I think the leakers has been mix/matching navi21 and navi22, that's why we gotten wierd leaks like big navi will have 12GB and 16GB Vram. If coreteks leak is legit which you link leads to, I think it's the Navi22.

Believing in unconfirmed leaks is the first mistake.

So I'm assuming the 3080 will be about 2.3 times faster than my 1080 in 4K, ignoring DLSS and RTX. Sounds like I will have to turn down a lot of settings to get consistent 4k120 in most games unless I go 3090.

And it looks like I will have to have stable FPS because it seems the LG TVs have issues with VRR.

Dang maybe I will wait a year then to get a new TV. Can't go back to non VRR after going G-sync, specially at 4k.

The twitter that's the source of that rumor compares the card with the 3070, and the price is just a guess, nothing official.

2080 +10% level of performance at 150W would be the closest thing as a miracle I can think of, specially without a node improvement.

The worst part is the TV doesn't even have G-Sync ultimate, which means no gsync + HDR. Gotta pick carefully which games to play with or without gsync.

Not gonna beat myself up over it because I was gonna buy the TV no matter what and if gaming doesn't work out on I'll just get myself a monitor.

I'm considering my next monitor for a new rig, but I can't quite decide whether to go with a disgustingly large 4K VA panel or a superwide with lower resolution. Superwide is nice for immersion but without HZ, I'd be wasting a bit of power on lower res. Since superwide screens often collide with other content and videos, I might go 16:9 again (currently have a 32" 1440p monitor).

What monitors are you looking at for 4K120?

I'm trying to not think about monitors at all. There currently are none that would be acceptable for me, so I'll just hope to god my TV will work out somehow.

I won't compromise on it and rather continue to use my trash 1440p display and wait until someone actually makes a good monitor.

This seems like good monitor, kinda expensive but good. The curve is just too much. Also what you guys think of 32 inch screen size with 1440. It becomes same kind of ppi as 1080p with 23 inch screen. Also will be super big for my table and eyes.

There is this Dell with less curve. Worse HDR, not even sure if that should be a considerion in monitors at this point in time.

LG Ips that is recommended a lot too. 27GL850.

TFTCentral reviewed that monitor last month: https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/samsung_odyssey_g7_c27g75t.htm

"All in all the G7 was a very impressive screen and to be perfectly honest we weren't expecting it! 240Hz with VA technology sounded like it would be an issue and we weren't expecting the excellent response times and gaming performance we experienced here. We really hope this is a sign of things to come from this panel technology, but well done Samsung!"

And reviewd the LG one last year: https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/lg_27gl850.htm

No review for the Dell one.

Yeah, it's hard to find something where there isn't a huge trade-off one way or the other. Still, I want a proper display if I'm building a monster rig, my TV is decent enough for console gaming, I have the Sony KD65S8505CBAEP.

Been looking at Predator monitor, and some others, but the prices are insane (1000-1500$) if I want it to tick all the boxes.

Been gaming on a 32" 1440p monitor for over 5 years now, a Samsung S32D850D. Really happy with it, it has decent colors and contrast and the size is good for my position. However, my new rig will be overkill on 1440p in all likelihood, if I want a panel for 200hz+, that's gonna cost me too much compared to what I'm still getting at that res.

As for the listed screens, I have no experience with Dell monitors at all so can't really say but it looks good specs-wise. Samsung have a somewhat disappointing history with curved desktop monitors from what I've heard, some tearing issues among other things, as well as poor viewing angles for color saturation (which isn't much of an issue for most though, since you're always positioned right in front of it). LG makes good monitors overall from what I hear, but never actually owned one.

32" is a decent size, 27" is just a bit too small for my tastes, especially in games which benefit from more immersion (1st person games for instance, or racing games while using cockpit view).
