So I'm assuming the 3080 will be about 2.3 times faster than my 1080 in 4K, ignoring DLSS and RTX. Sounds like I will have to turn down a lot of settings to get consistent 4k120 in most games unless I go 3090.

And it looks like I will have to have stable FPS because it seems the LG TVs have issues with VRR.

I'm considering my next monitor for a new rig, but I can't quite decide whether to go with a disgustingly large 4K VA panel or a superwide with lower resolution. Superwide is nice for immersion but without HZ, I'd be wasting a bit of power on lower res. Since superwide screens often collide with other content and videos, I might go 16:9 again (currently have a 32" 1440p monitor).

What monitors are you looking at for 4K120?
