WWE 2K20 patch 1.03 has been corrupting some players' save data
https://www.pcgamer.com/wwe-2k20-patch-103-has-been-corrupting-some-players-save-data/
WWE 2K20 is a bit of a mess. In October, it launched in a laughably bad state, and now the latest patch, ostensibly meant to tackle crashes and bugs with wrestlers' hair and clothes, has been corrupting some players' save data.

State of Decay 2 is coming to Steam next year
https://www.pcgamer.com/state-of-decay-2-is-coming-to-steam-next-year/
State of Decay 2 was released in May 2018, and as a zombie survival game it was quite good, but as a Microsoft Store exclusive, well, I'll let you draw your own conclusions. That won't be an issue for too much longer, though, as it's now listed on Steam and scheduled to go live early next year.

Deathgarden: Bloodharvest halts development, is now free to play
https://www.pcgamer.com/deathgarden-bloodharvest-halts-development-is-now-free-to-play/
Deathgarden, which may be the most wonderfully pure videogame title since Bonestorm, launched into Steam Early Access last year, and it looked really promising: We called it a "weird, exhilarating game of lethal hide-and-seek" in our August 2018 preview. But according to Steam Charts, it was never able to find an audience. A "relaunch" in May of this year, with the even more awesome title of Deathgarden: Bloodharvest, turned things around briefly, but after a few months the average concurrent player count had sunk back to double-digits.
Today developer Behaviour Digital announced that after working through various scenarios and possible solutions, it has decided that "none of them would change the fate of this project," and it is therefore halting development.

Soko Loco is an adorable train tycoon from some prolific indies
https://www.pcgamer.com/soko-loco-is-an-adorable-train-tycoon-from-some-prolific-indies/
The creators over at Sokpop Collective have cranked out a full game, which they sometimes do between making two full games every month for literally years now. Soko Loco Deluxe is a train tycoon with simple, relaxing gameplay and an adorable lofi aesthetic. It also has a pretty jammin chiptune soundtrack. Sokpop’s games are often fascinating little ideas, but are only rarely expanded into full-featured games. Soko Loco Deluxe definitely deserved the treatment.

Swap animal bodies to explore in gorgeous Lost Ember
https://www.pcgamer.com/swap-animal-bodies-to-explore-in-gorgeous-lost-ember/
Humanity has gone quite extinct. There’s mostly just animals left. At least that’s the case in Lost Ember, a game of exploration and body-swapping that just released on Steam. In the game, players are a wolf-spirit-thing that can jump between other animal bodies to explore a large world completely reclaimed by nature. It’s certainly a slick-looking game, and the emphasis on free-flowing exploration via different methods of travel seems like something novel. Early user reviews are quite positive.

Cyberpunk murder-tower Black Future '88 is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-murder-tower-black-future-88-is-out-now/
It's the near future but it's also the 1980s, which describes the cyberpunk genre as a whole but more specifically describes Black Future '88. In this particular slice of dystopian technofantasy there's an architect with his finger on the nuclear button at the top of a big nasty skyscraper, and you've got a time limit of 18 minutes to stop him before your heart explodes and kills you.

Free Amid Evil DLC shows how the retro shooter used to look
https://www.pcgamer.com/free-amid-evil-dlc-shows-how-the-retro-shooter-used-to-look/
Amid Evil is one of the best of the recent crop of retro shooters, with its pseudo-Heretic style and a magic staff that shoots planets. It came a long way over the course of its development, and now you can experience that journey with a free expansion called Ancient Alphas.

Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer monetisation is still being explored
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-multiplayer-monetisation-is-still-being-explored/
Cyberpunk 2077 will have multiplayer, but CD Projekt Red has been keeping the feature pretty close to its chest. In a recent investor call, however, president Adam Kiciński did briefly touch on the subject of monetisation, though without giving very much away.

Phoenix Point trailer sets the grim scene ahead of next week's launch

Star Citizen's chilly new world, microTech, is coming in December
https://www.pcgamer.com/star-citizens-chilly-new-world-microtech-is-coming-in-december/
Cloud Imperium Games had quite a bit to show off at CitizenCon 2949 over the weekend, including Star Citizen's new game mode, another fancy ship and stealth missions with non-lethal takedown. A new world, microTech, was also introduced, and you can get get a glimpse of it in the keynote demo, the first part of which is above.

Steam's top 20 new releases in October include Destiny 2 and Postal 4
https://www.pcgamer.com/steams-top-20-new-releases-in-october-include-destiny-2-and-postal-4/
With November's halfway point now well behind us, Valve has released its list of the top 20 new game releases for October. Some of them, like Destiny 2 and Disco Elysium, won't surprise anyone; but others, well, they might.
The list is based on revenue generation over the first two weeks, which is why these rundowns never appear until a few weeks after the end of the month: Games released at the end of the month still need their two weeks to ring up the revenues, after all. And they are ranked chronologically, not by revenue, so there's no "winner" here, although it's probably safe to assume that Destiny 2 pulled in more bucks than, say, Postal 4: No Regerts.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is EA’s top-selling Star Wars title on PC in its initial launch window
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-is-eas-top-selling-star-wars-title-on-pc-in-its-initial-launch-window/

Adopt a purple monkey in Sea of Thieves with your Twitch Prime membership
https://www.pcgamer.com/adopt-a-purple-monkey-in-sea-of-thieves-with-your-twitch-prime-membership/
Sea of Thieves added pet monkeys and parrots when its Pirate Emporium went live back in September. The only issue was that pirates had to pay real-world money to buy those pets (and then lovingly fire them out of cannons). As of today, however, you can get a pirate pet for free if you're a Twitch Prime member through your Amazon Prime membership—which costs $13 per month or $120 per year. So... not exactly free, really.

Valve removed 1000 games from Steam because publishers were 'abusing' Steamworks
https://www.pcgamer.com/1000-games-were-just-removed-from-steam-and-we-dont-know-why/
Something strange appears to be happening on Steam, where, as chronicled by Steam Tools, roughly 1000 games have been suddenly removed from the system. Some of the "banned" games look a little sketchy but others seem like fairly normal games (for Steam at least), and have been on the platform for months or years.
Update: Shortly after our story went up, developer Alexandra Frock noted on Twitter that "a good chunk" of the removed games were linked to a single Russian publisher, Dagestan Technology, that appeared to be operating under a large number of different names. Selecting "related apps" for individual listings of banned games reveals how they're connected: Sly Pigs, for instance, is five steps removed from Running Sausage, but only two from BattleStar Mazay.

Tuesday news, part two:

Project C gets a new name, Life Beyond, and its first trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/project-c-gets-a-new-name-life-beyond-and-its-first-trailer/
Life Beyond, formerly Project C, unveiled its new name today, along with some very early in-game footage. Battleborn begins winding down, premium currency purchases ending in February
https://www.pcgamer.com/battleborn-begins-winding-down-premium-currency-purchases-ending-in-february/
Two years ago, Gearbox halted development on its hero shooter Battleborn after it failed to catch on with audiences, even as a free-to-play game. Despite that dead end, the studio said at the time that it would keep the game running "for the foreseeable future," and to Gearbox's credit it's done exactly that. But the final end is now in sight—although it's still quite a long way off.

Leap between planets in cosmic free puzzle game Starstruck
https://www.pcgamer.com/leap-between-planets-in-cosmic-free-puzzle-game-starstruck/
Now this is clever. Starstruck is a physics-y puzzle game that you can play by yourself, or with a chum in local multiplayer, with each little astronaut being connected by a cord. The goal in each stage is to reach the exit point (sounds easy enough, right?), but, as the game is set in outer space, this is actually more complicated than it appears. You have to be wary of gravity, or rather the lack of it: one wrong jump and you may find yourself cartwheeling through space to your inevitable doom.

The Surge 2 gets more free DLC, letting you dress like a future cop
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-surge-2-gets-more-free-dlc-letting-you-dress-like-a-future-cop/
The Surge 2's new JCPD gear does not look remotely comfortable. The latest free DLC pack lets all players dress up like one of Jericho's unfriendly future cops, which means strapping into a big, bulky suit with lots of armour with sharp edges. The getup looks like someone tried to combine their love of Michael Bay's Transformers and Deus Ex and, I have to admit, I kinda dig it.

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-steam-controller-is-on-sale-for-dollar5/
The Steam Controller is on sale for $5 right now—that's saving you 90%—though supplies are limited and shipping costs extra. The Steam Store says the controller ships within 4-8 business days but "Delays are expected on new orders due to very high volume." I expect the volume will be high for this deal. For me, in California, the total cost of the controller plus shipping and tax came to $13.88.
>> And why it's on sale with such a big discount? Well, because Valve wants to get rid of them and they won't make any more.

Manage your Red Dead Redemption 2 mods with the Red Dead Redemption 2 Mod Manager
https://www.pcgamer.com/manage-your-red-dead-redemption-2-mods-with-the-red-dead-redemption-2-mod-manager/
One of the best things about Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC—like all games on PC, really—is mods. RDR2 might be a grim tale of life in the harsh, unforgiving Wild West, but that doesn't mean you can't paint up Arthur Morgan's face like the Joker, if you want. Or maybe you want to be a Red Dead Superman, courtesy of this trainer mod. Want longer days, so you can get more done? No problem! Want to do whatever the hell this is? Okay, sure.
The downside to Red Dead Redemption 2 mods is that it can be a hassle to stay on top of them all—to manage them, if you will—especially if you get heavy into the scene and start installing every potentially useful and/or patently goofy thing you see. That's where the new Red Dead Redemption 2 Mod Manager on Nexus Mods comes into play: It helps eliminate headaches and confusion by simplifying the process of enabling and disabling mods in the game.
Creator Bilago said that the RDR2 Mod Manager is a "direct port" of their Grand Theft Auto 5 Mod Manager, which cut the development time down by weeks. It's functional, but not yet complete, and Bilago said that work to clean up the code and add new features (and remove others) will continue over the next few weeks.

Crusader Kings 2's plots have been replaced with the Scheme system, but judging by the new dev diary, it should still be fairly familiar. If you want to assassinate someone, you find some co-conspirators, wait around for a bit, and then maybe they'll be killed, but the job might also be botched.

I'm happy with my Xbox One controller, but I ordered one anyways. Will connect it to my almost unused Steam Link to try it out.

I'm guessing those things weren't available to Canada. I tried ordering one yesterday and it wasn't available to be ordered.
