Project Lambda, Half Life in Unreal Engine 4 fan project, is available for download right now
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/project-lambda-half-life-in-unreal-engine-4-fan-project-is-available-for-download-right-now/
Half Life fans, here is something really special for you today. SilverTM has released its Half Life fan project in Unreal Engine 4, Project Lambda. This project is a remake of the intro/train section of the first Half Life game, using entirely new assets in Epic’s latest game engine.
As we’ve said and when we shared the WIP screenshots from this project, overall interactivity is limited. Players cannot interact with a lot of objects, and cannot shoot enemies or aliens. Basically, this is a tour of the Black Mesa facility so you can only admire the game’s upgraded visuals. Still, we believe it looks really cool and may give you an idea of what a Half Life remake could look like in a modern-day engine.
What’s really interesting here is that the team will work on the game’s second part in case this demo is downloaded and played by a lot of gamers. Now before getting overly excited, you should temper your expectations as this first part took a lot of months to complete, so don’t expect to be playing its second part anytime soon.

'Naked demon with a large penis' and other content descriptors waiting for approval on Steam

Today, developer Georgiy Kukhtenkov emailed me to let me know that, like the developers of Negligee: Love Stories, they have also written a Steam content description for their game. At the time of writing, Kukhtenkov is still waiting for approval from Valve, but so long as you are logged into Steam, you can see the game's content description on its store page.
The game is called Boobs Saga and contains a "naked demon with a large penis" and "resurrection via an opening resembling an anus," among many, many other things. My favorite line is "scene resembling the act of oral sex performed by a woman on a dwarf (dwarf is standing on a stool)," because I'm certain "oral sex" would have sufficed.

https://www.pcgamer.com/riot-hires-former-uber-executive-to-help-improve-workplace-culture/
As part of its much-publicized effort to reshape its internal culture in the wake of accusations of pervasive sexism, harassment, and discrimination at the studio, League of Legends developer Riot Games has hired Frances Frei, Uber's former senior vice president of leadership and strategy, as a senior advisor to the company's senior executives and "cultural strike team." Riot said that Frei has been meeting regularly with the president, CEO, COO, and co-founders over the past few weeks, and that she'll "get to know Rioters from around the world through educational and working sessions" over the coming months.
Here's the trailer for Tencent's battle royale with snowboards coming to Steam next week
https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-the-trailer-for-tencents-battle-royale-with-snowboards-coming-to-steam-next-week/
In Ring of Elysium you're a tourist—one of a hundred—at a mountain resort when a terrible winter storm rolls in. There's only one rescue chopper left and it can only carry four people as the storm's freezing circle closes around you. You know what that means: battle royale. The game from Tencent (previously called Europa) is free-to-play, and arrives on Steam September 19—though the store page currently appear to be restricted in Europe and parts of Asia.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is an action-RPG that looks a bit familiar
https://www.pcgamer.com/warhammer-chaosbane-is-an-action-rpg-that-looks-a-bit-familiar/

Investigative RPG HellSign is coming to Steam early access
https://www.pcgamer.com/investigative-rpg-hellsign-is-coming-to-steam-early-access/
I love a bit of cryptozoology. I’d be more than happy to go for a swim to find Nessie or traipse around North America on the hunt for Bigfoot. There’s more than a hint of that in ‘investigative’ action-RPG HellSign, but instead of doing this all in the name of science (or pseudo-science), you’re trying to find ways to murder these monsters. It’s OK, though; they want to murder you too.
Soulcalibur 6 reintroduces Cervantes, its cursed pirate
https://www.pcgamer.com/soulcalibur-6-reintroduces-cervantes-its-cursed-pirate/
Is Cervantes hot? That’s the question I’ve been grappling with since watching the video reveal of Soulcalibur 6’s latest returning character. He’s a cursed, undead pirate with an unquenchable thirst for souls, so he’s a bad dude, but he’s also shirtless and jacked. Murder and mayhem have done wonders for his physique.
