Damn, they extended the NDA, those fuckers. I heard that the NDA is for the 2080. Does that mean no one got 2080Ti samples?

The NDA for the 2080 was supposed to end on the 17th, while the 2080Ti reviews would go live on the 19th, but reviewers have had problems to get their 2080 samples, so Nvidia decided to delay the NDA to give them more time to test them.

There are also rumors that Nvidia still haven't send reviewers the final drivers for the new cards, so those that have the cards can't test them.

NVIDIA’s next driver will significantly improve performance in Monster Hunter World
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/nvidias-next-driver-will-significantly-improve-performance-in-monster-hunter-world/
NVIDIA has confirmed that its next official driver will significantly improve performance in Monster Hunter World. Not only that, but PC gamers can use a workaround – via the NVIDIA Inspector Tool – in order to improve performance in both the latest and the previous driver.
According to reports, some keys that have been used in the Monster Hunter World profile bring performance degradation and additional stuttering. By simply removing them, PC gamers can improve performance by up to 20% without any visual glitches or issues. Not only that, but this workaround lowers overall stuttering in heavily crowded scenes.

>>I think it's the first time I post an article about an upcoming driver. In any case, you'll find the keys to remove in the article.

ZONE OF THE ENDERS THE 2nd RUNNER : MARS mod replaces English voices with Japanese voices
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/zone-of-the-enders-the-2nd-runner-mars-mod-replaces-english-voices-with-japanese-voices/
ZONE OF THE ENDERS: THE 2nd RUNNER MARS has been released on the PC, however it only comes with English voices. Which is a shame as this game – and some other Japanese games – are more enjoyable (at least in my opinion) with their original Japanese voices. As such, I’m happy to report that modder Mecha Suplex has released a mod for ZONE OF THE ENDERS THE 2nd RUNNER : MARS that replaces its English voices with the Japanese voices. And yes the game now feels better than its original PC version as the Japanese voices are better.

It also retains the classic Wolfenstein 3D gameplay so this is a must-have for all old-school fans out there.
In Operation: Gral, players will have to get the holy grail back from the remnant nazi chapter holed up in Castle Todesdrache. Players will confront the Colonel Müller and his three henchmen in challenging, over-the-top boss fights. Players will also reveal the ancient secrets of the Holy Grail and traverse dimensions in preparation for the final battle.

EA refuses to back down on loot box ban in Belgium
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/ea-refuses-to-back-down-on-loot-box-ban-in-belgium/
Over the last couple of months, several big gaming publishers, namely Valve, Blizzard and 2K Games, have all given up a substantial amount of income in online transactions from both Belgian and Dutch players. This comes as a result of a loot box ban issued by the Kansspelcommissie (gaming commission) that decrees all forms of online gambling must be removed from video games.
From the outset of the commission’s ruling, they have been very clear on the severity of the punishment if major publishers did not comply with the mandate. The punishment could include both a severe fine, and actual time behind bars for members of the company. According to NAG online who received correspondence with the commission, the fine could be as much as 10% of the company’s total gross annual profit.
Well, according to nieuwsblad.be, EA seems to risk this punishment as they have refused to remove certain loot box options and virtual surprise boxes in both FIFA 18 and FIFA 19. This refusal seems to come directly from CEO Andrew Wilson who states that the aforementioned loot box options do not constitute gambling. He argues that players know exactly how much loot they are getting, before comparing it to the Panini football stickers that some enthusiasts collect and trade.

Wednesday news, part two:

Blizzard job listings hint at something entirely new
https://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-job-listings-hint-at-something-entirely-new/
Blizzard’s job page is often an interesting place for inquisitive minds, offering up tiny glimpses into possible futures. Amid the vacancies for existing games like World of Warcraft and Overwatch are stacks of advertisements for unannounced projects. There are plenty related to a mystery Diablo project, but there are just as many openings for something new.

Lethal League Blaze will smack balls at you next month
https://www.pcgamer.com/lethal-league-blaze-will-smack-balls-at-you-next-month/
I’ve never watched or played a game of baseball, so I’m just going to assume it’s a lot like the future ball game presented in Lethal League and its upcoming sequel, Lethal League Blaze. So it must be the greatest sport of all time. But also pretty violent. Chill out, baseball players. Blaze is coming out next month, but you can smear your eyes all over this trailer in the meantime.

Scum's map may get much, much larger in the future
https://www.pcgamer.com/scums-map-may-get-much-much-larger-in-the-future/
Scum's map is a pretty big one—144 square kilometers—and it can take a while to haul yourself from one end to the other in the Early Access survival game. But if you teleport yourself into the sky using the admin console, you can see a map that is actually much bigger. It's about four times as big—at least potentially. Scum is an island after all!

Fortnite's drum gun is gone
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnites-drum-gun-is-gone/
I woke up to an exasperated cry of joy this morning as all the Fortnite players in the world simultaneously celebrated the removal of the drum gun from play. As of the v5.40 content update, the contentious weapon has been vaulted.

Pathologic 2's gameplay trailer is appropriately weird
https://www.pcgamer.com/pathologic-2s-gameplay-trailer-is-appropriately-weird/
The remake of Pathologic, renamed to Pathologic 2 last year to avoid confusion with the HD remaster of the original game, looks appropriately weird and disquieting in its new gameplay teaser. Strange is Pathologic’s bread and butter.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey isn't shackled to history
https://www.pcgamer.com/assassins-creed-odyssey-isnt-shackled-to-history/
Assassin’s Creed has always had an unusual relationship with history. It’s integral to the series and every game has been rich in historical detail, whether it’s the little facts about landmarks or characters, or the famous faces that you’ll meet as an assassin. It's never been accurate, but it usually feels authentic. But the more the series has progressed, the more it’s started to feel like the Disneyland of history, throwing in celebrities with wild abandon, turning its cities into places where every historical figure of the age seems to reside.
With Odyssey, Ubisoft is taking a different approach.

Drive Halo's Warthog in Forza Horizon 4
https://www.pcgamer.com/drive-halos-warthog-in-forza-horizon-4/
You’ll get more than just Master Chief’s favourite vehicle. Look up at the sky and you’ll see the ring bending around the world, while the track is littered with little Halo touches, from crates to the much more impressive Pelican dropship that will follow you from above.

Visit D.Va's stomping ground in Overwatch's new map
https://www.pcgamer.com/visit-dvas-stomping-grounds-in-overwatchs-new-map/
Overwatch’s new map, Busan, has gone live, letting players muck around in D.Va’s striking hometown. I’m not convinced D.Va would be too happy about her home being turned into a battleground, especially when players can also snoop inside her room, but at least it means she won’t have a long commute.

Strange Brigade gets some cowboy DLC and free maps
https://www.pcgamer.com/strange-brigade-gets-some-cowboy-dlc-and-free-maps/
Strange Brigade, the supernatural co-op shooter, is getting a bunch of new maps, missions and an additional character across the coming months. Some of it will be part of the game’s season pass, but the maps for the score attack and horde modes will be free for everyone.

Halo 5 was a fairly average game anyway, so PC gamers aren't really missing out on much... But it would be awesome if they all got a Steam release.

A nice comparison.

Got some nice little big boys.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Yep, they're quite big.

But I still don't understand why they've gone with 3 different chips. Using the same one for both the 2080 & 2070 would make more sense as they could salvage more chips. I wonder if there will be some kind of shortages because of that.

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/project-lambda-half-life-in-unreal-engine-4-fan-project-is-available-for-download-right-now/
Half Life fans, here is something really special for you today. SilverTM has released its Half Life fan project in Unreal Engine 4, Project Lambda. This project is a remake of the intro/train section of the first Half Life game, using entirely new assets in Epic’s latest game engine.
As we’ve said and when we shared the WIP screenshots from this project, overall interactivity is limited. Players cannot interact with a lot of objects, and cannot shoot enemies or aliens. Basically, this is a tour of the Black Mesa facility so you can only admire the game’s upgraded visuals. Still, we believe it looks really cool and may give you an idea of what a Half Life remake could look like in a modern-day engine.
What’s really interesting here is that the team will work on the game’s second part in case this demo is downloaded and played by a lot of gamers. Now before getting overly excited, you should temper your expectations as this first part took a lot of months to complete, so don’t expect to be playing its second part anytime soon.

Today, developer Georgiy Kukhtenkov emailed me to let me know that, like the developers of Negligee: Love Stories, they have also written a Steam content description for their game. At the time of writing, Kukhtenkov is still waiting for approval from Valve, but so long as you are logged into Steam, you can see the game's content description on its store page.
The game is called Boobs Saga and contains a "naked demon with a large penis" and "resurrection via an opening resembling an anus," among many, many other things. My favorite line is "scene resembling the act of oral sex performed by a woman on a dwarf (dwarf is standing on a stool)," because I'm certain "oral sex" would have sufficed.

I love a bit of cryptozoology. I’d be more than happy to go for a swim to find Nessie or traipse around North America on the hunt for Bigfoot. There’s more than a hint of that in ‘investigative’ action-RPG HellSign, but instead of doing this all in the name of science (or pseudo-science), you’re trying to find ways to murder these monsters. It’s OK, though; they want to murder you too.

He’s a cursed, undead pirate with an unquenchable thirst for souls, so he’s a bad dude, but he’s also shirtless and jacked. Murder and mayhem have done wonders for his physique.
