I think somebody posted this earlier but i would hate it if they went 3rd party. Hopefully I can find a good deal on WiiU on black friday

I remember reading an article a long time ago, when Gamecube was struggling, where Miyamoto said that the day they stop selling hardware, is the day they stop making games.

Back then, Nintendo was in a world of trouble. People mocked the DS, and the Sony PSP marked the first real competition for the Nintendo handhelds. Gamecube was also selling really poorly.

Nintendo will bounce back. The question is, how will they change as a studio? When Gamecube struggled, Nintendo bought Retro Studios. Now that WiiU is struggling, Nintendo is exclusively publishing Platinum Studio games. If they buy them, what cool new games should we expect in the future?

I hope they can continue there partnership with Platinum, it like to see them make Star Fox since they said they would be interested in making one.

That would be intense, I think if Nintendo keeps accumulating small studios like Monolith Soft, Retro Studios, and Hopefully Platinum Games, they could really have a great lineup, especially for fans of retro/japanese style games.

Is that why Skyward Sword looks better on my PC?

No, but it's certainly why it plays better (AKA, the more important part) on the Wii.

I have to agree with the original statement. I buy Nintendo consoles solely for exclusives, as they are some of my favourite games in the business. If Nintendo were to ever make games for other consoles, I just feel like they wouldn't be quite as good.

Why would they bow out if they're making money? That's what business is about.

I hope they never go third party. My first system was the NES. I'm not really into nintendo like I was back then, but they'll always have a special place in my heart.

Nintendo have plenty of reasons to stay in the hardware business. That though, is the dumbest excuse I've ever heard.

They are the last real console company left.

They are the only barrier keeping console gaming from becoming total shit.

And that's why so many gaming companies hate them.

I LOVE ICELAND!
