I remember reading an article a long time ago, when Gamecube was struggling, where Miyamoto said that the day they stop selling hardware, is the day they stop making games. Back then, Nintendo was in a world of trouble. People mocked the DS, and the Sony PSP marked the first real competition for the Nintendo handhelds. Gamecube was also selling really poorly. Nintendo will bounce back. The question is, how will they change as a studio? When Gamecube struggled, Nintendo bought Retro Studios. Now that WiiU is struggling, Nintendo is exclusively publishing Platinum Studio games. If they buy them, what cool new games should we expect in the future? |
I hope they can continue there partnership with Platinum, it like to see them make Star Fox since they said they would be interested in making one.
