my best hope for ps+ on ps4 is that there will be better day one / pre-order discounts for digital games.

Well you got one.... but.... You can claim general sentiment all you want but only diggin up a few examples is not going to make it true.  Plus there is no reason to believe he is happy with Sony's decision or if he was already a PS+ subscriber.   Both reasons would negate your finding in this case.   

So again you can hope all you want for there to be a double standard but it oesnt make it true.   Sure in a few cases it might be,  but its far from the general sentiment you claim it to be.

How do people not get that you can't define a group as doing something hypocritical because no group of people is completely homogeneous? Only individuals can be hypocrites and if you can find evidence of that feel free to call them out, but trying to call out an entire fanbase based on your general recollection of how you think it was for most of them, and how you think it is for most of them now is one of the stupidest things I see people do on these forums.

I dont think it will be quite as long as you may believe.   I suspect within the first year that we will start to get actual PS4 titles to show up on there.  Some may be Indie titles/PSN games, but it will quickly grow from there.
