It is hard to notice from just 1 screen-shot; different angles are required to tell the difference.  Do you know if the Witcher 2 had 3D grass on PC? If that is the case, then I guess this has 3D grass too.

Personally I don't like all those filters. I prefer 1080p without any AA to 720p (or less) blurred by cheap AA. Because which game nowaday use pure FSAA without blur?

On the third original 1080p image with the wolves we can almost see some kind of jagged line on each grass and on the hairs (human and wolves), proving that it is real 3D. I really like that effect.

It looks awesome, just like Gothic looked awesome for its times. And being an open world, and what's more a Witcher game, we can be sure graphics aren't just for their own sake, but to make the player enjoy exploration even more. One thing that isn't just graphhics that large viewing distance already added to Gothic, for example, was adding a little bit of unpredictable thrill: explore too far and mess with the wrong enemy when your character hasn't leveled up enough and/or isn't properly equipped, and you'll better have a good plan B, including dangerous leaps and some swimming, if the monster chasing you can run faster than you.

Excellent, I already have The Witcher 2 in my backlog, waiting for my next HW upgrade, I'll wait for The Witcher 3 to know what I'll need to play them all (I could already play the first Witcher, but I'm waiting anyway for fear it could raise my standard too much and make me enjoy less other games not bat but not at its level).

What I meant was confirmation that those screens were from an 8th gen console. I was certain these were PC screens.
