it's not like people buy pc's from zero to play games. EVERYONE have pcs so it's only a matter of buying a good gpu and maybe RAM.

I haven't got a PC. If I wanted to buy one - I'd have to buy every single thing.

however a few hundred million people are in the exact oposite position as you.

Who cares about raw specs apart from nerds who are j*rking off thinking about it? The graphics on this PC won't come close to what you'll see on a PS4/XO and that is what really matters. It's just too close, a PC has to be much more powerful than a console to run similar graphics.

The OP was asking for a PC with PS4 specs for similar price. That's what I offered. When did I say it would have identical or better gaming graphics? In fact I agreed in the post you quoted that a PC would require more to match gaming output. But, those PCs are still technically more powerful and infinitely more usable... and the last one I posted is almost the same costs as Xbone lol.

PS4 today, PC in 2015 and further, simply because any pc u can buy today will be garbage in few years, there is none, literally none, today's PC, that will have good perfomance in upcoming UHD(3840x2160) standart.
You can brag that it's more powerful and etc., but that gives nothing in reality, without optimization every tech is worthless piece of shit, that is today's pc's, u pay more, but u will get less.
So, if you won't get more then 1080p anyway, you don't get graphical advantage, why the hell so many shouting about pc these days? There is no actual point in choosing pc over console today.

Titan or dual GPUs can certainly play 4k. On PCs, you are going to get higher framerates (many games will still be 30fps on consoles) and more detail even at 1080p.

It's funny, but no, the only games that titan can run in 4K is simple ports from this gen with no graphical advantage over a console besides resolution, games with graphical advantage requires SLI already, and this is current-gen games, when games would be developing directly for next-gen, even 4 titans won't help in 4K(not to mention that not every game support sli, and support well).

Look at the today's tests and you'll understand what i'm pointing out, btw, not in every tests games on full max, and still fps is quite weak.

The only pc you can buy today is pc that would match, but won't overcome ps4, and even for that result you will pay at least twice as much.

And yes, i'm actually PC gamer, i play on consoles less, but i don't understand today's situation, with all the "PC masterrace", it's like everyone have lack of experience and nobody knows what pc platform actually is.

So I have a Nvidia 670 (made by Asus). I play every game at 1080p with everything turned upto maxium (apart from a bit of AA ocassionally) and get 60fps on every game with the exception of Far Cry 3. Killzone Shadow Fall does look slighty better, but not considerably better than the PC games that I play.

There will be a step up, but I am convinced that if I bought Watch Dogs on my PC, it would look better than if I bought it on my PS4, but I guess we can only wait and see

I play every game at 7680x1440, most console ports will happily run at maximum, more demanding titles like Metro and Crysis I usually tone it down to medium, but at that Resolution, no other platform stands a chance in sheer amount of pixels smashing into the Retina.
The PS4 and Xbox One would scream "I'm a teapot" at that resolution.

However, what people want is a "comparable" box to the PS4 at the same price, it's not going to happen unless you make concessions in the hardware or buy second hand.
But they also throw out the idea that the PS4 and Xbox One are more expensive over the long run, for whatever reasons.

You buy 50 games on the PC, if they were all $10 cheaper that's $500 saved right there, Granted more often than not you can save more than $10 per game.
Playstation Plus is what, $350 over a 5 year period?
Don't forget the controllers too on top of that number.

So...
Playstation 4, $550 AUD.
50 games, $500 AUD.
Paying for online (lol), $350 AUD.
That's $1400 AUD right there, as a best case scenario.

If you can't build a PC that isn't going to last 5 years for that budget then something is wrong and again, the PC would still be cheaper as the games are usually more than $10 cheaper if you go to the right place.

On top of that, you can do more on the PC. If you feel inclined, even make your own games, mods, maps... etc'.

I chose "Shut up". I just don't have interests to play games on PC....
